CTZ Fib Cycle Lows - DCL / WCL / YCL

CTZ Fib Cycle Lows – DCL / WCL / YCL
OVERVIEW
A cycle-low tool that times the Daily (DCL), Weekly (WCL) and Yearly (YCL) cycle lows with the Fibonacci sequence instead of average cycle length. It finds each cycle low, tracks the current cycle, and projects when and where the next low is most likely, using Fibonacci in both time and price.
Built as a companion to CTZ Cycle Lows v4: v4 times the next low from average past cycle lengths, this version times it from Fibonacci proportions. Where both agree, timing is strongest.
HOW THE NEXT LOW IS TIMED
For each cycle, three Fibonacci measurements are projected forward from the last cycle low:
1. Fibonacci bar counts from the cycle low
• DCL: 21, 34, 55 • WCL: 89, 144, 233 • YCL: 233, 377, 610
2. Fibonacci ratios of the previous cycle length (0.618, 1.0, 1.618)
3. Fibonacci ratios of the advance – the decline is projected to last 1.0, 1.618 or 2.618 times as long as the rally from the cycle low to its high
Where two or more projections land together, the indicator marks the NEXT LOW WINDOW. The hit count (x2, x3, x4…) shows how many Fibonacci measurements agree – the higher, the stronger.
HOW THE PRICE TARGET IS SET
The target zone is a Fibonacci retracement of the current cycle's range (cycle low to cycle high). Depth depends on translation:
• RTR (bullish): 0.382 – 0.618
• MTR (neutral): 0.5 – 0.786
• LTR (bearish): 0.786 – 1.0 (down to the fail level)
• Failed cycle: 1.272 – 1.618 extension below the cycle high
TRANSLATION (GOLDEN RATIO)
• LTR – cycle peaked before 38.2% of its length (bearish)
• MTR – peaked between 38.2% and 61.8%
• RTR – peaked after 61.8% (bullish)
CYCLE LOWS AND FAILURES
• A cycle low is a confirmed swing low with a minimum spacing from the previous one.
• A deeper low inside the minimum spacing moves the cycle low (same trough).
• A close below the cycle low after the minimum spacing = cycle failure (⛔ FAIL).
WHAT YOU SEE ON THE CHART
• Cycle low labels – length of the completed cycle and its nearest Fibonacci number (e.g. "DCL · 36 bars ≈ Fib 34 · MTR")
• Fail level lines – turn red when broken
• Next low projection boxes – Fibonacci time window x target price zone, with estimated date, hit count and target
DASHBOARD
For DCL, WCL and YCL:
• Status – tracking, ⚡ IN WINDOW, ⚠ OVERDUE or ⛔ FAILED
• Cycle day and the next Fibonacci count
• Last cycle length and nearest Fibonacci number
• Live translation
• Fail level
• Next low window (bars, date, hit count)
• Target zone
Plus Fibonacci window confluence (DCL + WCL, WCL + YCL) and timeframe scale.
HOW TO USE IT
• Use the YCL and WCL for the big picture and the DCL for timing.
• Strongest setups: a DCL window overlapping a WCL window (confluence), with x3 or more hits, and price reaching the target zone.
• Compare with CTZ Cycle Lows v4 – when Fibonacci timing and average-length timing agree, confidence is highest.
• Confirm the low with order flow or price action before acting.
SETTINGS
• Pivot lookback, minimum spacing and Fibonacci counts for each cycle (counts are editable, e.g. "13,21,34" for shorter cycles such as gold's daily cycle)
• Turn each timing method on or off
• Time tolerance and minimum projections for a window (raise to 3 for fewer, stronger windows)
• Auto-scale to any timeframe (lengths are set for a Daily chart)
• Labels, fail lines, projection boxes, dashboard position and colours
ALERTS
New DCL / WCL / YCL, DCL / WCL / YCL failure, entering each Fibonacci window, Fibonacci target hit (time and price together), DCL + WCL and WCL + YCL window confluence.
LIMITATIONS
• Cycle lows are confirmed by pivots, so the latest low appears a few bars after it forms.
• Fibonacci time projections are a timing guide, not a prediction. Windows with only x2 hits are weak – give more weight to x3 and above.
• Price targets follow the translation rule and can change as the cycle develops.
• Dates are estimates based on calendar bars.
