Why Is Bitcoin So Weak? The Halving Is a Fairy Tale

576
Bitcoin ( BTCUSD BTCUSDT BTCUSDC ) bubbles don’t live in a vacuum — they’re tightly linked to the business cycle.

On the chart: BTC price on top, ISM Manufacturing PMI below (above 50 = expansion, below 50 = contraction).

Every major Bitcoin blow-off top happened during PMI expansion.
Every long bleed, chop or “fake bull run” appeared when PMI was falling below 50. On recessionary liquidity, Bitcoin simply cannot accelerate into a 20–30x mania, no matter how bullish the local chart looks.

And here’s the key point: the halving is not the first cause.

The story “each halving = new supercycle” is a convenient fairy tale written in hindsight. It’s the narrative that stuffed most people into altseason bags and left them underwater. Halving and BTC dominance drops are by-products of the cycle, not the driver.

The real engine of Bitcoin bubbles is always the same:
the phase of economic expansion, when PMI turns up and liquidity flows back into risk assets.
Everything else — halving dates, dominance memes, “altseason prophecy” — is just marketing layered on top of macro.
