Base Holding, 82,000 Tested Multiple Times. Breakout or Fake-out

77
Structure
BTC has been in a descending channel on the 4H chart. Price made repeated tests of the 79,100-79,400 base, and sellers failed to push below it each time. Price is now back at 82,000-82,300, which has rejected it multiple times (the red flags on the chart). The higher lows near 79,500 hint at buyers stepping in, but the channel is intact until proven otherwise.

The idea (conditional, not predictive)
Long only on a 4H candle close above 82,000-82,300. A wick above the level is not enough.

Plan

Trigger: 4H close above ~82,300
Stop loss: 80,600, below the recent consolidation and the reclaimed 82,000 area
T1: Channel upper trendline (~83,300-83,600)
T2: 85,000-84,800 zone
T3: Recent ATH area (~87,000-87,400)

Risk and reward (from a ~82,300 entry)

Risk is about 1,700 points.
T1 gives about 0.65:1, so it works as a partial profit or a stop-trailing point, not a reason to take the trade.
T2 gives about 1.5:1.
T3 gives about 2.9:1.

The trade makes sense mainly if you hold part of the position toward T2/T3.

Fake-breakout readiness
This level has rejected price several times before, so a failed breakout is a real possibility.

If price closes above 82,300 and then falls back below it, the idea is invalid. Exit at the stop, don’t hope.
No entry on a wick spike, and no chasing a 4H candle that has already run far from the level.
If price rejects again and holds the base, the range is still alive, and waiting costs nothing.

Position sizing and money management
Size the position from the 1,700-point stop distance, with a fixed small percentage of capital at risk. Scale out at each target rather than waiting for T3.

Trading psychology

Missing the move is cheaper than forcing an entry. Trade the close, not the excitement.
Decide the stop and size before entering. Don’t move the stop further away after entry.
One loss doesn’t justify a bigger size on the next trade.
