Truncated Zigzag ประกอบไปด้วยชุดคลื่นสวิงลง ABC ที่ B พักน้อย และทั้ง เวฟ A และ C ประกอบด้วย 5 คลื่นย่อย.. ลักษณะที่สำคัญของ Truncated Zigzag คือเวฟ C สั้น(เมื่อเทียบกับเวฟ A) แต่ก็ไม่ควรสั้นกว่า 61.8% ของเวฟ A... และตามภาพเข้าตามเงื่อนไขทั้งหมด จึงเป็นเหตุผลกับการให้น้ำหนักว่าจบชุดลง ABC แล้วอย่างน้อยหนึ่งชุด >>มีโอกาสเปลี่ยนทิศทางนั่นเอง
