VWAP + Volume Profile Strategy | Hindustan Copper (NSE)
Price action becomes more powerful when combined with VWAP, deviation bands, and Volume Profile.
This strategy focuses on identifying potential trade setups using key reference levels and price confirmation.
Strategy Rules
1. Entry Confirmation
Identify the Value Area High (VAH) and Value Area Low (VAL) using Volume Profile.
Plot VWAP with its deviation bands.
Short setup: Wait for price to cross below both the Lower Third VWAP Deviation Band and Value Area Low (VAL).
Long setup: Look for the reverse conditions, with price crossing above both levels.
2. Entry Trigger
Wait for candle confirmation after the crossover. Avoid entering based on a single level or an unconfirmed move.
3. Target Selection
Target 1: The nearer relevant level between VWAP and the opposite Value Area boundary, according to the trade direction.
Target 2: The farther relevant level, using VAH or VWAP as appropriate for a long setup, and VAL or VWAP for a short setup.
4. Risk Management
Define the stop-loss before entry, manage position size, and avoid chasing price after a sharp move.
Why This Setup?
VWAP helps assess price relative to the session's average traded price, while Volume Profile highlights areas of accepted value. Combining them may help identify potential continuation or reversal opportunities.
Key principle: Wait for confirmation. Let price come to your levels instead of forcing a trade.
Chart: Hindustan Copper Ltd. | 15-minute timeframe
