If NIFTY rebounds towards 22607-22796, the educational question is whether that area acts as resistance. A retest becomes useful when price returns to a zone and its subsequent behaviour provides a clear condition for continuing or cancelling the scenario.
The visible 4-hour structure shows lower swing highs, lower lows and a sharp decline. If a rebound develops, observe whether it stalls within 22607-22796 and forms another lower high. Reaching the zone alone would not establish rejection.
To check the response, wait for a completed 4-hour candle. If price enters the zone, closes back below its lower boundary and subsequently breaks the rejection candle's low, that sequence would support the conditional bearish scenario. If price instead holds within the zone, the rejection condition remains unconfirmed. A move to 22836, beyond the upper boundary, invalidates this scenario.
If rejection is confirmed and the decline resumes, the first downside reference is 21921, based on the 161.8% move projection. If price continues lower beyond that reference, the second is 21497, based on the 261.8% move projection. These projections provide checkpoints for reassessment; neither establishes that price will reach them.
A common mistake is treating a sharp fall as sufficient reason to enter immediately. If price remains below the zone without retesting it, this particular setup has no qualifying trigger.
