US10Y Monthly/Weekly Update

148
US10Y touched multi-decade high of 5.30% during the month, before closing at ~5.29%. 25bps hike by the FED along with hawkish commentary and atleast another 25bps hike for the CY26 caused the yields to close higher. Persistent higher crude oil prices due to ongoing US-Iran war, higher fiscal deficit concerns and ongoing AI capex by hyperscalers (majority debt issuance in longer tenor, which in turn pressurizing govt yields) are the major concerns for bond yields.

Going forward, 5.20% can act as first resistance level with 5.02% beyond that. On the other side, 5.30% can continue to act as support level, with 5.40% beyond this.
