USDCAD - Oct 30 , break trend , continue increase

USDCAD trend forecast October 30 , 2025

💬The USD/CAD pair is struggling to extend Wednesday’s modest rebound from the 1.3890–1.3885 zone — its lowest level since September 25 — and drifts lower during Thursday’s Asian session. Spot prices are currently trading below the mid-1.3900s, near the 200-day Simple Moving Average (SMA). However, traders remain cautious about placing aggressive bearish bets, given the need for further confirmation before expecting a continuation of the recent two-week downtrend.

The Canadian Dollar (CAD) retains underlying support from the Bank of Canada’s (BoC) hawkish tone, which — coupled with a mild pullback in the US Dollar (USD) — keeps the USD/CAD pair under slight downward pressure. Although the BoC delivered a second consecutive rate cut on Wednesday, policymakers also hinted that the easing cycle may now have reached its end. This stance helps counterbalance the impact of softer Crude Oil prices and provides a tailwind for the commodity-linked Loonie.
