[XAUUSD] M30: A 3,975 Sweep Before a 4,020 Rebound?

28
Gold is descending toward a familiar demand floor.

A rebound remains possible, but buyers must first demonstrate that demand can interrupt the sequence of lower highs and lower lows.

⚖️ MACRO BACKDROP

Higher oil prices and persistent inflation are keeping future Fed tightening in focus.

Dollar movements and Treasury yields remain important for gold’s next reaction. Central-bank demand and fiscal concerns provide longer-term context, but they do not confirm buying at this M30 support zone.

The technical rebound requires its own confirmation.

📉 TECHNICAL ANALYSIS

STRUCTURE — SELLERS HAVE REGAINED CONTROL

The earlier recovery produced a bullish CHoCH and BMS before reaching the 4,080 area.

That advance failed to sustain.

A subsequent bearish CHoCH and BMS introduced renewed selling pressure. Price now trades inside a steep descending channel, with successive recovery attempts forming lower highs.

Snapshot price: 3,994.665.

The preferred bullish setup is therefore a conditional demand reaction within an existing downtrend.

KEY ZONES

• Primary HTF demand: 3,970–3,980.
• Midpoint resistance: 4,015.045.
• Planned rebound target: 4,018–4,025.
• Backup demand: 3,945–3,955.
• Upper Range: 4,037.805.

The channel ceiling is dynamic. It may not remain aligned with the fixed 4,018–4,025 target as time passes.

TREND INDICATOR — EXACT READINGS

Trend: Negative.
Upper Range: 4,037.805.
Lower Range: Forming.
Mid Pivot: 4,015.045.

No numerical Lower Range is available. The 3,970–3,980 demand zone must not be presented as a confirmed indicator boundary.

LIQUIDITY

Previous lows within the 3,970–3,980 area create a potential sell-side liquidity reference.

A move through those lows followed by a reclaim could support a rebound setup. Sustained acceptance below the zone would instead favor continuation.

A demand touch alone does not confirm a sweep or a bottom.

THE DRAWN PATH

Leg 1:
The projected decline extends toward approximately 3,991.

Leg 2:
A temporary rebound reaches approximately 4,004.

Leg 3:
Another decline tests approximately 3,975 inside primary demand.

Recovery:
The upward arrow anticipates a demand response. The chart notes identify 4,018–4,025 as the broader rebound objective.

The arrow itself does not reach that target, so a full recovery requires additional bullish confirmation.

The projected path begins around 4,025, above the snapshot price. It describes the broader sequence rather than a fresh entry from that starting point.

🔄 IF–THEN PLAYBOOK

PRIMARY — SWEEP AND RECLAIM AT DEMAND

IF price tests 3,970–3,980, sweeps a relevant low, and reclaims the area,
THEN watch for bullish M1/M5 CHoCH and displacement.

IF that confirmation develops,
THEN recovery references are:

• Approximately 3,995–4,000.
• 4,015.045.
• 4,018–4,025.

A successful retest after the bullish shift would strengthen the setup.

CHANNEL RECLAIM

IF buyers break above descending channel resistance and hold a retest,
THEN the recovery gains structural support.

Acceptance above 4,025 would strengthen the case for extension toward 4,037.805.

A wick through the channel boundary is insufficient by itself.

BEARISH BREAKOUT CONTINUATION

IF M30 closes below 3,970 and a retest fails to reclaim primary demand,
THEN the immediate rebound setup is invalidated.

The next marked demand zone is 3,945–3,955.

Do not treat every new low as a bullish liquidity sweep.

BACKUP DEMAND RESPONSE

IF 3,945–3,955 produces a reclaim and bullish lower-timeframe structure shift,
THEN reassess recovery toward 3,970–3,980.

Further upside requires acceptance above the recovered zone.

INVALIDATION

Primary-demand rebound:
M30 acceptance below 3,970 followed by a failed reclaim.

Backup-demand rebound:
Acceptance below 3,945 followed by a failed reclaim.

Immediate bearish channel:
A confirmed breakout and successful retest challenge the channel-continuation thesis. A broader reversal still requires a meaningful higher low and higher high.

🎯 STRATEGIC METRICS SUMMARY
