Gold is attempting to confirm a bullish breakout from the descending wedge, with price holding above the breakout and retest area. As long as the 4274.22–4234.96 support zone remains protected, the structure keeps room toward the 4510 and 4600 resistance levels.

The market focused more on:Oil prices falling → inflation pressure falling → expectation of less aggressive future rate hikes → yields easing → USD easing → gold rising
So the market was looking beyond the rate hike itself and thinking about what happens next.Fed's hawkish message in stride because falling oil prices gave the metal some relief.
