Gold is trading around 4,010, consolidating near the lower H1 reaction area after renewed selling pressure following the latest U.S. inflation data.
September PCE inflation accelerated to 3.6% year-on-year, reinforcing expectations that the Fed may need to tighten again in December. That keeps the macro backdrop challenging for Gold despite the Fed holding rates unchanged this week.
Technical View
The broader H1 structure remains bearish.
Gold is still trading beneath the main descending trendline and has maintained a sequence of bearish structural breaks from the 4,19x region.
Price is currently testing the 4,004–4,016 Immediate Reaction Zone.
This area can support a corrective rebound, but the current chart does not yet confirm a larger bullish reversal.
The strongest resistance sits higher at 4,062–4,076 Major Resistance, where the descending trendline and previous structure converge.
That is the main H1 decision area.
Key Zones
4,177–4,190 — Major Supply Zone
4,062–4,076 — Major Resistance / Main Bearish POI
4,004–4,016 — Immediate Reaction Zone
3,940–3,955 — Key Support / Rebound Zone
3,975.088 — Structural Support Reference
4,200.513 — Major Upper Structural Level
Trading Plan
Sell Priority
The main scenario is to allow Gold to recover from the 4,004–4,016 Immediate Reaction Zone toward 4,062–4,076 Major Resistance.
I do not want to chase weakness around current price.
The preferred condition is a clear H1 rejection from Major Resistance, particularly if buyers fail to establish sustained acceptance above the descending trendline.
If sellers regain control from that zone, I will favor a rotation back through the 4,020 area.
A failed recovery from there would reopen the broader downside path toward the 3,940–3,955 Key Support / Rebound Zone.
The projected sequence is:
4,004–4,016 reaction → recovery into 4,062–4,076 → bearish rejection → renewed expansion toward 3,940–3,955.
Important Note
The market remains sensitive to Fed repricing after hotter PCE inflation.
A sustained H1 breakout above 4,076 and the descending trendline would weaken the immediate bearish scenario and require reassessment.
Until then, the current upside should be treated as a corrective move inside the broader bearish structure.
Sell View
The sell-side view remains preferred, but location matters.
The strongest setup is not around 4,010. The cleaner bearish POI is 4,062–4,076, where technical resistance and the broader downtrend converge.
Final View
Gold remains structurally bearish on H1 despite attempts to stabilize around current levels.
The immediate 4,004–4,016 zone can trigger a recovery, but the real directional test sits at 4,062–4,076 Major Resistance.
If sellers defend that zone, the chart continues to favor a rotation lower, with 3,940–3,955 remaining the main downside destination.
For now, the plan is simple: allow the recovery first, then look for seller confirmation at resistance.
