XAUUSD — US session read from my KenKem Master Volume Profile (MVP) indicator & strategy.
CONTEXT
Read taken 30 minutes before the New York open, with the London session already closed. Price is trading above the entire M15 value area and well above VWAP, with the EMA structure stacked in trend order on both M15 and M5. The MVP net-volume read is fully one-sided to the buy side, but it is already at its ceiling — one-sided does not mean it can expand further. Price has covered roughly 3.5% in about 25 hours and is sitting right at the high of that run.
KEY ZONES
- Resistance / supply: 4192.6 (high of the run), then 4200 / 4210 as the next round steps
- Support / demand: 4173 (M5 fast EMA, just under the M5 value-area high), then 4155
- Point of Control (volume magnet): 4163 on M5, which lines up with the M15 value-area high at 4162
- Deeper reference: VWAP 4141
SCENARIOS (to watch — NOT signals)
Bullish: a decisive close above 4192.6 leaves thin volume overhead, opening room toward 4200 then 4210 (price is already above the whole value area, so there is little traded volume to slow it).
Bearish: losing 4173 on a closing basis pulls price back inside value, opening 4163 (the POC magnet) then 4155 (the value-area low / slower EMA).
Range/unclear: stuck between 4173 and 4192.6 into the New York open — stand aside until a decisive close resolves the box.
Invalidation: an M15 close back below VWAP 4141 voids this map — that puts price back inside the structure it broke out of.
WHAT THE MVP TOOL IS SHOWING
The Master Volume Profile plots rolling value areas (VAH/VAL), the Point of Control, and a net-volume pressure read to locate where volume is building or drying up. Here it shows the whole value area sitting below price — an air pocket, which is why moves in either direction can travel quickly. This idea is the qualitative output of that tool; the strategy's internal thresholds, gating and entry/exit logic are not disclosed.
