Initial Balance

Initial Balance is a clean session tool that tracks and visualizes the opening range for your chosen time window.
This indicator:
- Captures Initial Balance High and Low during the selected IB session
- Draws optional 1.5x and 2.0x range extensions above and below the IB
- Uses a session-locked fill: the fill width stops expanding when the IB window ends
- Keeps line levels and styling responsive so visibility settings update live
Why this is useful:
- Quickly frame the day around the opening range
- Spot expansion and potential continuation zones with 1.5x and 2.0x extensions
- Keep charts cleaner with a fill that does not continue extending after IB is complete
Inputs:
- IB Time Range
- Timezone
- Show/hide toggles for IB High, IB Low, 1.5x extension, 2.0x extension, and fill
- Per-line color and width controls
Notes:
- Designed as a visual reference tool, not a standalone strategy
- Best used with your existing market structure, trend, and risk rules
Not financial advice.
