NeuraCloud - Ichimoku (Purple Kumo) + Alerts (Minimal)

2 114
NeuraCloud is a clean, modern interpretation of the Ichimoku Cloud, designed to identify trend direction, market structure, and key support/resistance zones at a glance.

The purple cloud (Kumo) acts as a dynamic trend filter:
• Price above the cloud indicates bullish conditions
• Price below the cloud indicates bearish conditions
• Price inside the cloud signals consolidation or uncertainty

NeuraCloud combines the cloud with Tenkan-sen and Kijun-sen to highlight momentum shifts, pullbacks, and trend continuation opportunities. Built-in alerts notify you of price/cloud breaks, momentum crosses, and cloud flips, helping you stay aligned with high-probability market structure.

Ideal for trend traders, swing traders, and multi-timeframe analysis, NeuraCloud keeps charts clean while delivering clear market context.

# NeuraCloud — v2 Update Notes

## v2 — The cloud you see is now the cloud you trade

This update fixes a defect that made every price-versus-cloud signal in v1 measure against the wrong thing, then builds the rest of the release on top of a reference that is finally correct.

### Price is now compared to the cloud that is actually under it

The most important fix in this release.

Senkou A and B are calculated on the current bar and drawn 26 bars into the future. The cloud sitting underneath today's candle was therefore calculated 26 bars ago. v1 compared price to the *unshifted* spans — a cloud drawn 26 bars ahead of the candle, nowhere near it. Unshifted, Senkou A is simply `(Tenkan + Kijun) / 2`: a fast midline. What was labelled a Kumo breakout was, in practice, a moving-midline cross.

The consequence: the breakout alert fired on bars where the chart showed no breakout, and stayed silent when price visibly cut through the Kumo. It affected four of the eight alerts.

Every price-versus-cloud condition now evaluates against `Senkou[displacement]` — the cloud genuinely under the current bar. Breakouts, in-cloud detection, cross grading, the confluence score and the higher-timeframe bias all run on that reference.

Enable **Show active Kumo at price** to see the exact levels the signals measure against, plotted as dotted lines on the current bar. Every alert is now visually verifiable.

### Confluence score

Ichimoku is five statements about the market, not one. All five are now evaluated and reduced to a single number from **−5 to +5**:

price vs the active cloud · Tenkan vs Kijun · price vs Kijun · future cloud direction · Chikou vs price from *displacement* bars ago.

+5 is full bullish alignment. 0 means the system disagrees with itself and Ichimoku is telling you to wait. The score is shown live in the info panel, can be set as a minimum requirement on breakout signals, and travels in the webhook payload.

### Tenkan/Kijun crosses are now graded

A TK cross means different things depending on where it happens. The classic ranking is now applied:

- **Strong** — above the cloud for bulls, below it for bears
- **Neutral** — inside the cloud
- **Weak** — against the cloud

Set a minimum grade to remove the weak half entirely. Strong crosses print at full opacity, weaker ones fade.

### Cloud thickness and the thin-cloud filter

Kumo thickness is structural weight, and it is measurable. It is now expressed as a percentage of price and ranked against a rolling lookback.

Breakouts through a thin cloud tend to hold; a thick cloud is heavy structure that usually takes several attempts to clear. The optional **thin-cloud filter** only marks breakouts below a configurable thickness percentile. Because it is percentile-based it scales per instrument automatically.

### Higher-timeframe filter

New, and the single largest reduction in whipsaw available to this indicator. The higher-timeframe Ichimoku bias — computed with the same corrected displacement logic — is available in three modes:

- **Off** — pure chart-timeframe structure
- **Context only** (default) — shown in the panel, with an optional background tint. It never blocks anything.
- **Filter** — breakout signals against the higher-timeframe bias are suppressed

Selected automatically at roughly 4–6× your chart timeframe, or set manually. Same approach as NeuraLine and NeuraWave, so the three read consistently when stacked.

### Presets for 24/7 markets

9 / 26 / 52 comes from the six-day Japanese trading week of the 1930s: nine periods was a week and a half, twenty-six a month, fifty-two two months. Crypto trades 24/7 and those numbers no longer map to that calendar.

Four presets are included — **Classic (9/26/52)**, **Crypto 24/7 (10/30/60)**, **Crypto Slow (20/60/120)** and **Fast (7/22/44)** — plus fully custom lengths. Displacement scales with the preset.

### The Chikou Span now does something

v1 plotted the Chikou and used it for nothing. It is now a full component: cross alerts, a free-above / free-below / blocked status in the panel, and one of the five inputs to the confluence score. An optional strict mode measures against past highs and lows rather than closes.

### Flat Kijun detection

A horizontal Base Line marks an equilibrium level that price tends to be pulled back toward — one of the few genuinely actionable Ichimoku nuances. Flat segments are now detected, the Kijun is highlighted while one is active, and the panel counts its length in bars.

### Info panel

New. Regime, Tenkan/Kijun state, future cloud, Chikou status, cloud thickness, Kijun status, higher-timeframe bias and the confluence score, in one configurable block.

### "Cloud flip" is now "future Kumo twist"

A Senkou A/B cross detected today appears in the cloud 26 bars ahead of price. That is valuable leading information — the Kumo is the only forward-looking component of Ichimoku — but the old label implied something had happened in the present. Renamed, and the marker is drawn where the twist actually sits.

### Smaller fixes

- **All signals are now confirmed on bar close.** v1 evaluated its conditions on every tick, so a breakout that occurred mid-bar and was taken back had already fired. This is now guaranteed rather than optional.
- **Warm-up guard.** Signals only begin once every lookback window *and* the displacement are fully populated. Charts no longer open with meaningless crosses on the first bars.
- **The "Show Senkou Span lines" toggle now works.** With the cloud enabled — the default — the span lines were shown regardless of the setting. Visibility is now handled through transparency, so the toggle does what it says and the cloud stays intact.
- **The duplicate "strict trend" alerts are gone.** Price closing above the cloud with a state flank is the same event as price crossing above the cloud; v1 shipped two alerts for one moment. They are merged into one breakout, and the complementary event now has its own alert: **price entered the Kumo** — structure undecided, no-trade zone.
- A perfectly flat cloud (Senkou A equal to Senkou B) was coloured bullish. Now handled strictly.
- New alerts added: price crosses Kijun, Chikou cross, and full stack (score ±5).
- Settings regrouped: Ichimoku Engine, Visuals, Signals & Markers, Filters, Higher Timeframe, Info Panel, Alerts.
- Rebuilt in Pine Script v6.

**The Kumo styling is unchanged.** Same purple, same transparency, same fill.
