Session Candles (3 per day)

This indicator condenses each trading day into three session candles, drawn to the right of the last bar, so you can read the overnight, London and New York ranges at a glance.
How it works
Each candle aggregates the open, high, low and close of its session, using lower-timeframe bars on your chart.
Default sessions (New York time, DST handled automatically):
Candle 1: 18:00-01:00
Candle 2: 01:00-08:00
Candle 3: 08:00-15:00
A new cycle starts when candle 1 begins. Candles from the previous cycle are cleared, so you only see the current day’s progression.
Candles are green when the close is at or above the open and red otherwise.
Overlap lines
When the high-low ranges of two consecutive candles intersect, the indicator draws two lines marking the top and bottom of the shared range. Optional shading is off by default. You can also compare candle 1 with candle 3.
Settings
Start and end time for each session, plus the timezone
Custom labels for each candle
Offset, candle width and gap
Bullish and bearish colors
Overlap line color and style (solid, dashed or dotted), shading on or off, and the 1-3 comparison
Notes
Use a timeframe that divides evenly into your session boundaries, such as 1H or lower. A 4H chart will give inaccurate session candles.
Nothing is plotted between the end of candle 3 and the start of candle 1 other than the finished candles.
This is a visual tool and not a trading signal. It is not financial advice.
