Trade Compass PRO [EXCAVO]

A Full Trade-Context Overlay in One Pane
The Trade Compass PRO is a single-stack chart overlay that gives a
trader everything needed to read a setup at one glance: a smoothed trend
wave, projected ATR-derived stop levels, crossover entry arrows, a Double
Timeframe confluence gate, a Hold-to-Next-Opposite trade lifecycle, a
switchable channel envelope, and a regime filter that hides arrows during
flat markets. Built so the visual reads top-to-bottom in the order a
discretionary trader actually checks a chart.
This is not a basic crossover plot. Each component is gated by the next,
so arrows never fire blind to context. The Auto Tuning mode adapts the
three timeframe-sensitive parameters to the chart you are on, and the
Hold projection draws a live R-multiple counter beside the entry line so
you see floating performance without opening any panel.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
▸ HOW TO USE
Step 1 → Add the indicator. Auto Tuning resolves Trigger Length,
ATR Multiplier, and Entry Cooldown to the chart timeframe.
The trend wave colors according to slope, the channel
envelope draws over the last N bars, and the long/short
ATR stop levels appear as short segments anchored to the
recent cross.
Step 2 → Watch for entry arrows. A blue BUY bubble below the bar
fires when the source crosses above the Trigger SMA. A red
SELL bubble above the bar fires on the opposite cross. Each
arrow is gated by trend / wave / regime / Double-TF / volume
/ cooldown / price-proximity filters.
Step 3 → Read the trade state. With Hold mode ON (default), the
entry price line projects forward from the firing bar with
a right-edge label showing direction, entry price, and live
R-multiple. A faint dashed kill line shows where the Hold
auto-invalidates if price moves too far against you.
Step 4 → Check the dashboard. Trend, Regime, Dual TF status,
current ATR, both stop levels, and Bars in Trade are
listed top-right. The Mode row shows the resolved Auto
parameters or "Manual".
Step 5 → Combine with method discretion. Add a trendline, mark a
session level, or stack with your S/R - the trade kit gives
you the context, the discretion stays yours.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
▸ HOW IT CALCULATES
◆ Auto Tuning
Three timeframe-sensitive parameters (Trigger Length, ATR Multiplier,
Entry Cooldown) resolve automatically by chart bucket: 15m and below use
20 / 1.0 / 12, 30m uses 30 / 1.2 / 8, 1h and above use 40 / 1.5 / 5.
Switch to Manual to honor the input fields as-is.
◆ ATR Stop Levels
Two levels are drawn at each cross bar. The short-side stop sits at
Anchor_High + Multiplier x ATR. The long-side stop sits at Anchor_Low -
Multiplier x ATR. With Short Stops ON (default), levels render as 5-bar
segments anchored at the firing bar; with it OFF, levels project as
right-edge lines updated each bar. ATR length, smoothing method (RMA /
SMA / EMA / WMA), multiplier, and both anchor sources are user-controlled.
◆ Trend Wave
A smoothed moving average of the chosen source price ((H+L)/2 by default).
Length 24 and WMA smoothing by default; switchable to RMA / SMA / EMA.
Color flips by slope direction. Rendered as a directional fill against
the close so the wave breathes with price. Default opacity 65 keeps the
wave readable as context without dominating the chart.
◆ Crossover Trigger
The arrow engine is a source-vs-SMA crossover. Bull arrow fires when the
chosen source crosses above the Trigger SMA. Bear arrow on the inverse.
The Trend Filter gates entries to the dominant trend direction. Wave
Alignment (Auto on TFs above 1h) suppresses counter-wave entries. Entry
Cooldown is a bar gap between same-direction fires. Min Distance Between
Fires is a price-proximity dedup that suppresses a same-direction arrow
if it would land within N ATRs of the previous same-direction fire,
killing chop clusters that pass bar cooldown but still pile on the same
level.
◆ Double TF Confluence
Requires the same-direction cross on an adjacent lower timeframe inside
a tunable confluence window. Auto picks the LTF based on the chart
(15m chart uses 1m, 30m uses 5m, 1h uses 15m, 4h uses 1h, 1d uses 4h).
Off disables the gate (single-TF mode). The confluence window lets a
slightly delayed LTF fire still count.
◆ Hold to Next Opposite
Entries are treated as held positions that exit only when an opposite
arrow fires. The entry-price line projects forward from the firing bar
to the right edge with a right-edge label showing direction, entry, and
a live R-multiple where 1R equals one ATR x Multiplier. An adverse-
excursion threshold draws a faint dashed kill line at entry plus/minus
Hold Max Adverse x ATR; if price closes beyond that line, the Hold
invalidates and the projection clears. With Hold mode OFF the indicator
falls back to ATR-stop levels for each cross independently.
◆ Volume Gate
Optional filter that requires the cross-bar volume to exceed a multiple
of its rolling average. Off by default; turn on for volume-confirmed
entries only.
◆ Session Quota
Optional daily cap on the number of arrows that may fire in a single
UTC session. Resets on the day rollover. Off by default.
◆ Channel + Regime Filter
The channel envelope is a switchable formula - Donchian (highest high /
lowest low), Bollinger (SMA plus or minus 2 standard deviations), or
percent Envelope (SMA plus or minus Envelope %). The regime filter
computes Channel_Range / ATR ratio every bar; when the ratio drops below
Sideways Threshold, the market is classified flat and crossover arrows
are suppressed. An Outlier Bar Filter additionally suppresses arrows
whose firing bar has a body larger than N ATRs.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
▸ WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
◆ Complete Trade Kit in One Indicator
Trend, entry arrow, two-sided ATR stop, Double-TF confluence, Hold
projection with live R-multiple, kill threshold, regime filter, and
dashboard - all in a single overlay. Most public crossover scripts plot
arrows and stop. Trade Compass adds the context layers that determine
whether to take the arrow at all and the lifecycle that tracks it after.
◆ Live R-Multiple on Hold Projection
While a position is open, the entry line carries a floating R counter
that updates each bar (1R defined as one ATR x Multiplier). You read
floating performance without opening Settings or any panel.
◆ Adverse-Excursion Kill Line
A faint dashed line marks where the Hold auto-invalidates. Most "hold to
next opposite" implementations let projections survive massive adverse
moves; the kill threshold turns that into a visible boundary.
◆ Double-TF Confluence Gate
Requires same-direction crosses on the chart timeframe AND the adjacent
lower TF inside a tunable window. Filters the false fires that single-TF
crossovers cannot see.
◆ Sideways Suppression
The regime filter measures channel compression in ATR multiples. The
Channel-over-ATR ratio responds to compression itself, not the slope of
a slow MA, so it catches choppy ranges that trend filters miss.
◆ Auto Tuning by Chart TF
Trigger Length, ATR Multiplier, and Entry Cooldown adapt to the chart
bucket so the operator does not have to re-tune when switching from 1h
to 4h. Manual mode is available for fixed parameter studies.
◆ Non-Repainting by Default
Arrows fire on bar close. The repaint toggle is opt-in for traders who
want real-time fires and accept the trade-off.

invalidation thresholds would let any developer rebuild the behaviour
identically, eliminating the empirical tuning that distinguishes this
