As we step into a new year, I hope it brings growth not only in our accounts but also in our understanding of ourselves. Every mistake from last year carried a lesson, and my hope is that we truly absorb those lessons and move forward with more awareness, patience, and maturity.
One thing trading continues to teach me is how important it is to protect the mind. Profits matter, of course, but clarity, calm, and confidence matter just as much. When the process feels heavy, it often means something needs to change, even if the results look good on paper.
Over time, I came to that realization myself. I had been trading my own version(my modified) of ICT, and while it worked, it demanded a lot mentally. The constant analysis and complexity slowly took its toll. It made me reflect on what kind of trader I want to be, not just this year, but long term.
This year, I am choosing to return to simplicity. I am stripping things back to the basics that first made sense to me. Clean support and resistance, clear technical structure, and fundamentals to provide context through COT data. Nothing fancy. Just a framework that allows me to think clearly and stay consistent.
Sometimes progress is not about learning something new, but about reconnecting with what already works. I wish everyone a year filled with clarity, discipline, and steady improvement. May we trade with intention, patience, and respect for the journey.
