After the break and stabilization above 150 in early October 2025, USDJPY extended its bullish run and reached the 158 resistance zone by late November. Since then, price has been consolidating inside a ~350-pip range between 154.50 and 158.
The latest rejection from 158 led to another pullback — but importantly, the market found support around 155.50, which is:
✔️ ~100 pips above the previous strong floor
✔️ forming a higher low inside the range
From a structural perspective, this is a constructive development for the bulls.
🔎 Technical & Fundamental Alignment
- The broader trend remains bullish
- Price action continues to respect support levels
- The outlook is further supported by the fundamental weakness in JPY
As long as these conditions persist, the bias remains tilted to the upside.
📌 Trading Plan (Medium-Term Outlook)
My approach here is:
👉 Look to buy dips around 155.50 support
🎯 Medium-term target: 160
⚠️ Keep in mind the 158 resistance area as an interim reaction zone
Risk management remains key:
❗ A clean break back below 154 would invalidate this bullish scenario and open room for deeper correction.
