In my previous analysis, I highlighted the importance of the $67 region, describing it as the larger version of *The Trapdoor* that had previously existed at $73.
On Tuesday, that support level finally gave way.
Interestingly, the breakdown occurred during the same window as several of the broader timing factors discussed in recent posts. Coincidence? Perhaps. But once again, the market became increasingly responsive as those windows arrived.
From a technical perspective, the message is relatively straightforward.
The broader four-month consolidation that has contained silver since the January all-time high has now suffered a significant structural failure. Sellers remain firmly in control for the time being, and the burden of proof now shifts to buyers.
The key question is whether they can reclaim the broken support zone and force price back into the previous range and take prices higher.
Until that happens, the path of least resistance appears to remain lower.
Should the breakdown continue to gain acceptance, the next significant area of interest sits closer to the $54 region.
What makes this development particularly noteworthy is that it follows months of compression, indecision, and repeated tests of support. Markets often spend far longer building pressure than traders expect, but once important levels begin to fail, they can move surprisingly quickly.
