Gold is currently in a short-term bearish structure after a strong rejection from the upper supply zone and the 200 EMA area. The market formed a series of lower highs and lower lows, confirming the current intraday bearish momentum.
However, the price is now approaching a key liquidity zone around 5100, where many stop-loss orders from previous buyers are likely resting. This area could act as a liquidity sweep (stop hunt) before a potential reversal.
My expectation is that price may:
Continue pushing slightly lower to sweep liquidity around 5100.
Trigger stop-loss orders below the range.
Form a strong rejection or bullish structure shift.
Then move upward toward the 5120 entry confirmation level.
If bullish momentum confirms after the sweep, the potential upside target could extend toward the 5160 resistance zone.
