XAUUSD H1: 4,441 in Focus — PPI Could Decide Gold's Next Move No

259
Gold is trading around 4,420, and the H1 structure is still clearly bullish.

But the market is now entering a very different phase.

Price has already recovered from the 4,382 liquidity sweep, reclaimed the short-term structure, and pushed back toward the 4,441 weak high.

That means the next move is likely to be decided by one question:

Can buyers break 4,441, or will sellers defend the high again?

Today’s PPI makes that question even more important.

The U.S. PPI is expected at 0.2% m/m, while Core PPI is expected at 0.3%. Initial Jobless Claims are forecast at 202K. These releases can create significant volatility in Gold through their impact on USD, yields, and Fed expectations.

THE MARKET MAP

There are four levels I am watching today:

4,441 → major upside liquidity / weak high

4,420 → current price area

4,382 → key structural support

4,361–4,373 → H1 order block

Below that, 4,316–4,326 remains the broader support zone.

The structure is bullish above 4,382.

The important point is that Gold is no longer sitting at cheap prices within the current range.

It is approaching liquidity.

That makes chasing a long at 4,420 less attractive than waiting for confirmation.

BULLISH PLAN

The cleanest bullish setup is not simply “buy because the trend is up.”

I want to see 4,441 broken with real H1 momentum.

Preferred breakout entry:

Entry: 4,443–4,448
Stop Loss: 4,428
TP1: 4,460
TP2: 4,475
TP3: 4,490

The idea is simple:

4,441 breaks → H1 acceptance above the weak high → retest holds → buyers continue the expansion.

The 4,460 area is the first major upside objective shown by the Fibonacci expansion on the chart.

If momentum remains strong after 4,460, the next extension can develop toward 4,475–4,490.

THE BETTER PULLBACK ENTRY

There is another setup I prefer if Gold fails to break 4,441 immediately.

Watch 4,398–4,408.

If price pulls back into this area, holds the rising structure, and prints a clear bullish reaction, the long setup becomes attractive.

Entry: 4,400–4,408
Stop Loss: 4,382
TP1: 4,420
TP2: 4,441
TP3: 4,460

This gives a much better risk location than buying directly underneath 4,441.

The key condition is simple:

4,382 must remain protected.

If buyers defend that level, the bullish H1 structure remains intact.

BEARISH PLAN

This is where today's PPI becomes important.

If Core PPI comes in hotter than the 0.3% forecast, the market could interpret the data as more persistent inflation pressure.

That can support the USD and Treasury yields, creating short-term pressure on Gold.

Technically, I would not short simply because price rejects 4,441.

I want confirmation.

Bearish trigger:

H1 rejection from 4,441
+
H1 close below 4,398
+
failed retest of 4,398–4,405

Then the short setup becomes:

Entry: 4,398–4,405
Stop Loss: 4,420
TP1: 4,382
TP2: 4,373
TP3: 4,361

If 4,361 also breaks with strong H1 momentum, the correction can extend toward the 4,316–4,326 support zone.

THE PPI FILTER

Here is how I am reading the data before the release.

PPI hotter than expected:

PPI > 0.2%
Core PPI > 0.3%

→ bearish pressure on Gold
→ watch for rejection around 4,441
→ 4,398 becomes the first downside confirmation level
→ below 4,382 opens the path toward 4,373–4,361

PPI roughly in line:

PPI = 0.2%
Core PPI = 0.3%

→ expect volatility rather than a clean directional move
→ avoid chasing the first spike
→ wait for H1 structure to confirm the direction

PPI cooler than expected:

PPI < 0.2%
Core PPI < 0.3%

→ potentially bullish for Gold
→ watch for a break of 4,441
→ successful retest can activate 4,460 and higher

MY DECISION TREE

Instead of trying to predict the exact PPI candle, this is the sequence I will follow:

Price above 4,441
→ bullish breakout
→ retest
→ 4,460
→ possible 4,475–4,490 extension

Price rejects 4,441 but holds 4,398–4,408
→ bullish pullback
→ 4,420
→ 4,441
→ 4,460

Price loses 4,398
→ bullish momentum weakens
→ watch 4,382

H1 closes below 4,382
→ bullish continuation thesis is invalidated
→ 4,373–4,361 becomes the next downside area

H1 breaks below 4,361
→ deeper correction becomes possible
→ 4,316–4,326 comes into focus

FINAL VIEW

My H1 bias remains bullish while 4,382 is holding.

But I would not chase Gold directly into 4,441.

The market has already completed the liquidity sweep around 4,382 and recovered strongly. Now it is approaching the previous weak high where sellers are likely to react again.

So my preferred order of execution is:

4,400–4,408 → bullish reaction → 4,441 → 4,460

Or:

4,441 breakout → retest → 4,460 → 4,475+

The bearish alternative only becomes attractive after confirmation below 4,398, with 4,382 acting as the next major decision point.

And because PPI is scheduled for 8:30 AM ET today, I expect the first reaction to be fast and potentially deceptive.

I would rather miss the first move than trade the wrong side of the PPI spike.

Which setup makes more sense to you today:

a pullback into 4,400–4,408, or a confirmed breakout above 4,441?
