Will Non-Farm Data Crush XAUUSD? Waiting for 4,680 – 4,700!

Looking for a solid long setup on XAUUSD as we’ve already seen a strong Break of Structure (BOS) and Change of Character (ChoCH). The trend is still bullish, and now price is just correcting. I’m eyeing a pullback to the 4,680 – 4,700 zone, which is my preferred buy zone. It’s lining up with the correction trendline and a key demand area. If price sweeps liquidity below, that's a perfect entry for me to go long.

Here’s the thing: Today we’ve got some serious economic data dropping. The Average Hourly Earnings at 0.3% (vs. expected 0.2%), Non-Farm Employment Change at 65K (way under the expected 178K), and Unemployment Rate staying steady at 4.3%. The jobs report is mixed, but lower-than-expected non-farm payrolls could push the USD weaker, giving XAUUSD the fuel it needs to move higher.

I’m waiting for price to hit that 4,680 – 4,700 zone before entering, but if we see a clean break and hold below 4,660, I’ll be out and will reassess. The FVG zone around 4,720 – 4,740 could give us a quick reaction before we breakout toward 4,755 – 4,780, and if we clear that, 4,800+ is next.

So, it all comes down to that pullback. If it doesn’t happen and price rips without us, I’ll just have to wait for the next clean entry. But I’m hoping for that sweep of liquidity below 4,700 first.
