Volume Flow Confirm [Indicatr]

Volume Flow Confirm puts volume flow and price on the same scale and answers one question: is volume confirming the move? It separates four situations: a confirmed rise, a confirmed decline, a rally without volume behind it, and a decline during which volume is quietly accumulating. Relative volume spikes are marked on the zero line. Works on any market and timeframe that provides volume.

⬤ WHAT YOU SEE
- Volume flow line with a soft glow, green above zero and red below, and a gradient that fills the area to the zero line.
- Price line (thin grey) on the same normalised scale. When both lines point the same way, volume confirms price. When they split, it does not.
- Disagreement shading: orange background for a rally without volume (price up, flow flat or down), purple for hidden buying (price down, flow flat or up).
- RVOL spikes: dots on the zero line where volume is at least twice its average (adjustable), coloured by candle direction.
- Optional state candles: colours the main-chart candles by the current state.
⬤ HOW IT WORKS
- Volume flow source: On-Balance Volume (default), Accumulation/Distribution or Chaikin Money Flow.
- Normalisation: flow and price are both expressed as their distance from their own moving average, divided by the standard deviation of that distance over the same window (default 50 bars), then lightly smoothed. Raw OBV or A/D values cannot be compared with price; normalised, both move on the same σ scale and can be read side by side, across markets.
- States: confirmed up (price and flow both above the neutral zone), confirmed down (both below), rally without volume (price up, flow not up) and hidden buying (price down, flow not down). Readings inside the neutral zone (default ±0.25 σ) count as flat, so small wiggles around zero do not flip the state.
⬤ HOW TO USE
- Trend trades: prefer the direction in which the state is confirmed.
- A rally without volume after a long rise is an early warning that participation is fading. It is not a reversal signal on its own.
- Hidden buying in a decline shows that volume is not following price lower. Watch for confirmation at your own levels.
- RVOL spikes highlight bars where the market paid attention. Spikes at key levels are often worth a closer look.

⬤ ALERTS
Confirmed up, confirmed down, rally without volume, hidden buying, flow crosses above zero, flow crosses below zero, relative volume spike.
⬤ LIMITATIONS
- Forex and CFD symbols only provide tick volume (number of price changes), not traded volume. It often tracks activity well, but it is not the same as exchange volume.
- Symbols without any volume data show a note in the dashboard.
- The values are relative to the recent window. A strong reading means strong compared with the last 50 bars, not in absolute terms.
