Explore 10xTrading IndicatorsABCD Scanner V1PRO identifies developing AB=CD price patterns and displays Potential Reversal Zones (PRZ) directly on the chart. It analyzes the current symbol and timeframe, without requiring an additional X point or another indicator. It projects a possible completion area from A, B and C rather than waiting for a confirmed turning point at D.
What makes it different
AB=CD is an established price-pattern concept. This implementation combines multiple swing sensitivities, alternative A-B-C combinations, xScore filtering and optional QuickScope previews in one system for finding, comparing and monitoring developing setups.
This allows shorter and broader swings to be assessed together instead of repeatedly changing one pivot setting. Detection and alert eligibility are separate from chart selection: reducing the number of visible patterns does not, by itself, disable monitoring or eligible alerts for hidden setups. Scanner, direction and alert settings still apply.
How it works
AB=CD structure
A and B define an initial price move; C retraces part of that move. The scanner calculates the retracement ratio as the absolute BC price length divided by the absolute AB price length. It must lie between 0.382 and 0.886 and match one of the reference levels 0.382, 0.500, 0.618, 0.707, 0.786 or 0.886 within tolerance. Matching uses the absolute difference from the reference divided by that reference. Increasing tolerance does not expand the overall retracement range.
The equal-leg completion level is:
D = C + (B − A)
This projects a CD move equal in price length and direction to AB. A downward projection defines a potentially bullish reaction area at D; an upward projection defines a potentially bearish one. Bullish and bearish describe the possible reaction at D, not the move toward it.
Potential Reversal Zone
The visible PRZ surrounds D. Its distance above and below D equals the AB price length multiplied by the effective D/PRZ tolerance. Each scanner's Tolerance Factor scales the global C and D/PRZ tolerances; 100% uses the global values unchanged.
For example, an AB leg of 10 price units and an effective D/PRZ tolerance of 5% produce a zone extending 0.5 units on either side of D. The percentage applies to the leg length, not the instrument's price.
A second calculation projects BC from C in the CD direction, using the reciprocal of the matched retracement reference. The same effective D/PRZ tolerance is applied to that projection's length to form a second band, which must overlap the AB=CD band. This checks agreement between the two projections. The displayed PRZ remains the full AB=CD band, not just the intersection. It must lie wholly beyond B toward D and have a non-negative lower boundary.
xScore
xScore evaluates three components:
- Ratio fit: how closely the BC/AB retracement matches the selected reference. The component decreases linearly with relative mismatch, down to a zero floor.
- Structural directness: fewer skipped intermediate pivots in the scanner's stored swing sequence receive a higher value.
- Duration balance: the shorter of the AB and BC bar durations divided by the longer. This compares AB with BC, not AB with the projected CD move.
Each component is normalized to 0–1, combined using fixed weights and scaled to 0–100. Ratio fit has the greatest influence; duration balance has the smallest. Tolerance inputs affect qualification, not the scoring scale. xScore filters and ranks candidates; it does not estimate when D will occur.
A higher xScore means closer agreement with these geometric preferences. It is not a win rate, reversal probability or expected return.
What it does
Multi-sensitivity scanning. Up to ten configurable scanners maintain their own swing-pivot sequences on the same chart. Each can use a different Level, minimum A-to-C span and tolerance factor. Within the selected swing context, they test alternative A-B-C combinations. Normal scanning evaluates confirmed A, B and C pivots at bar close. These are different structural sensitivities, not different symbols or timeframes.
QuickScope C. Enabled by default, QS projects from confirmed A and B points with a provisional C. Initial qualification requires QS N consecutive confirmed closes inside the C retracement range, alongside the geometry and score checks. QS geometry updates at bar close and may change, pause or disappear as the retracement develops. QuickScope repaints by design; disabling it removes provisional-C detection. Updates to the same QS setup do not repeatedly generate Detected alerts.
Ongoing setup monitoring. Setups are tracked beyond their initial detection for movement beyond B, PRZ contact and structural invalidation. A PRZ hit uses overlap between the candle's high-low range and the zone. Price passing entirely beyond the zone without overlap is not recorded as a touch.
Chart management. Separate Normal and QS display limits, optional pattern lines, PRZ fills and overlapping-tag merging help control chart density. By default, pattern legs are shown only after a PRZ hit. A +N tag indicates additional grouped displayed setups, not a bonus to xScore or independent statistical confirmation.
Key controls
Start with the defaults on a standard candlestick chart. Level controls pivot sensitivity; ABC-Depth sets the minimum A-to-C span in bars. xFactor expands the recent pivot context searched for alternative structures. The xScore input sets the minimum geometric score for new setups and accepted QS C revisions.
C (%) controls retracement matching; D/PRZ (%) controls projection-band width. Tolerance Factor scales both for the individual scanner. maxPattern and QS Max Pattern control visibility; 0 means available drawing capacity, not unlimited patterns. Normal setups receive drawing capacity before QS setups. Feed Alarm controls whether a scanner can contribute to the alert feed.
Alerts
- Detected: an eligible new setup, evaluated at bar close.
- PRZ Hit: contact with the visible zone, including wicks. Delivery defaults to bar close; Instant can report the first observed live contact for an already-known eligible setup.
- CD Breakout: the first eligible break beyond B toward D. Close uses the confirmed closing price; Wick uses the completed bar's high or low. Both are evaluated at bar close, even when Instant is enabled for PRZ Hit.
Text and editable JSON Template outputs are available. Max N per bar limits included events using xScore ranking. With Instant, selection occurs within each live batch and shares the bar's remaining allowance. Events omitted by selection or message-size limits are not queued for later delivery.
Create the TradingView alert using “Any alert() function call” after configuring the indicator. Recreate running alerts after script or input changes, or to use a different symbol or timeframe. Alerts are blocked on non-standard charts. TradingView alert limits apply.
Debug (optional)
Optional ZigZag overlays show the retained swing structure for the global Level or individual scanners. Up to two overlays can be displayed. They help assess swing sensitivity without changing detection or alert eligibility.
Notes & limitations
Pivot confirmation requires Level bars on each side. At Level 5, a pivot is not confirmed until five later bars have completed. Even with QS disabled, a more extreme confirmed pivot can replace the latest pivot, and developing setups can be superseded or invalidated. Lines drawn back to earlier swing points show geometry, not signals available at those earlier times.
The HIT archive retains up to 12 previously displayed setups that contacted their zones. Drawings can be removed by the archive limit, the post-hit display period or a later close beyond the far PRZ boundary. It is a selective visual record, not a complete signal history or backtest.
A PRZ hit records contact, not a confirmed reversal or successful trade. Historical bars cannot reproduce the observation timing of live Instant alerts. Detection coverage and processing depend on settings, available history and platform limits. This is an analysis and alerting tool; it does not place orders or provide investment advice.
