Scalp 2 Swing

**Scalp 2 Swing**
Author: drsamgeorge
Scalp 2 Swing is a multi-timeframe trading assistant built around two main signal ideas:
Supertrend alignment signals.
Trendline Break confirmation signals.
The aim is to help the trader read direction, confirmation, risk, and market quality before acting.
It is not designed to be a blind buy or sell tool. It is designed to help the user ask better questions before entering a trade.
**Core Principle 1: Trade With Alignment**
The first principle is alignment.
A signal is usually cleaner when the chart direction and the higher-timeframe direction agree.
For the main Supertrend signal, the script checks the chart Supertrend and the higher-timeframe Supertrend.
For a bullish Supertrend setup, the cleaner state is:
Chart Supertrend bullish.
Higher-timeframe Supertrend bullish.
For a bearish Supertrend setup, the cleaner state is:
Chart Supertrend bearish.
Higher-timeframe Supertrend bearish.
The indicator can automatically link the chart timeframe to a preferred higher timeframe, or the user can manually override it.
**Core Principle 2: Use Trendline Breaks As Confirmation, Not Noise**
The second principle is confirmation.
Trendline Break signals are shown as small TL labels.
They are designed to show when a trendline break and nearby structure confirmation occur together.
By default, a TL buy must agree with the current chart Supertrend.
By default, a TL sell must agree with the current chart Supertrend.
The TL signal can also be filtered by the higher-timeframe Supertrend.
The default mode is Same as HTF Supertrend.
This means:
TL buys are preferred when the higher-timeframe Supertrend is bullish.
TL sells are preferred when the higher-timeframe Supertrend is bearish.
There is also an Opposite to HTF Supertrend option for traders who deliberately want to study counter-trend TL signals.
**Core Principle 3: Confirm On Candle Close**
The third principle is confirmation after the candle has finished.
Signals can be set to appear only after candle close.
This helps reduce intrabar changes and avoids acting on signals that appear before the candle has completed.
When candle-close confirmation is enabled, arrows, TL labels, trade boxes, and alerts wait for the candle to close.
**Core Principle 4: Read The Trade Box Before The Signal**
The fourth principle is visible risk.
Every signal should be judged against its risk and reward.
The trade box shows:
Entry.
SL.
TP1.
TP2.
The dashed midpoint line is TP1.
The final target line is TP2.
If the stop is too wide, the target is too close, or the setup is unclear, the signal should be treated with caution.
The main Supertrend trade box uses the normal bullish and bearish colors.
The TL trade box uses a separate blue-cyan profit color and rose risk color, so the user can distinguish TL trades from Supertrend trades.
**Core Principle 5: Use Panels To Check Quality**
The panels are there to help decide whether a signal is clean or risky.
The upper-right setup panel is the main checklist.
The lower-right panel shows multi-timeframe trend score.
The lower-left panel tracks signal outcomes and TL outcomes when enabled.
Declutter mode can hide unnecessary visual elements while keeping the multi-timeframe panel visible.
**How To Use The Main Supertrend Signal**
Use the Supertrend signal as the main trend-following signal.
For a possible long, check:
Chart ST is bullish.
HTF ST is bullish.
ADX is supportive.
Consensus is bullish or improving.
EMA Stack is bullish or acceptable.
Volume does not oppose the trade.
Volatility is understood.
Chop is clear.
The candle has closed if confirmation is enabled.
The trade box gives acceptable TP1, TP2, and SL.
For a possible short, check:
Chart ST is bearish.
HTF ST is bearish.
ADX is supportive.
Consensus is bearish or weakening.
EMA Stack is bearish or acceptable.
Volume does not oppose the trade.
Volatility is understood.
Chop is clear.
The candle has closed if confirmation is enabled.
The trade box gives acceptable TP1, TP2, and SL.
**How To Use The TL Signal**
Use the TL signal as a Trendline Break confirmation signal.
It is separate from the main Supertrend triangle.
For a possible TL buy, check:
The TL label appears below the candle.
Current chart Supertrend is bullish.
The selected TL higher-timeframe filter is supportive.
The TL trade box gives acceptable TP1, TP2, and SL.
For a possible TL sell, check:
The TL label appears above the candle.
Current chart Supertrend is bearish.
The selected TL higher-timeframe filter is supportive.
The TL trade box gives acceptable TP1, TP2, and SL.
The TL signal is intentionally filtered so it does not keep printing repeatedly during the same active TL trade.
**Timeframe Guidance**
The Supertrend engine and TL engine have separate timeframe relationships.
Supertrend default linking:
1 minute and 5 minute chart Supertrend confirm with 1 hour.
1 hour confirms with 4 hour.
Daily confirms with weekly.
Weekly confirms with monthly.
Trendline default linking:
1 minute links to 5 minute.
5 minute links to 15 minute.
15 minute links to 1 hour.
1 hour links to 4 hour.
4 hour links to 1 day.
1 day links to 1 week.
1 week links to 1 month.
Manual override is available for both workflows.
**How To Read The Upper-Right Setup Panel**
The upper-right panel is the practical checklist.
Chart ST TF shows the fast Supertrend timeframe.
Confirm ST TF shows the higher-timeframe Supertrend.
Chart ST shows the chart Supertrend direction.
HTF ST shows the confirmation Supertrend direction.
ADX shows whether directional strength is present.
Consensus shows the overall multi-timeframe pressure.
EMA Stack shows whether structure is clean or mixed.
Setup shows whether conditions are closer to Long, Short, or Wait.
Volume Action, Volume State, Volume Pressure, and Volume Level show whether participation supports the move.
Volatility rows show whether ATR is normal, contained, or expanded.
Chop rows show whether entries are being blocked by compression or messy conditions.
Trendline TF and Trendline HTF show the TL timeframes being used.
TL HTF ST shows how the higher-timeframe Supertrend is being used for TL signals.
Active Trade shows whether the main trade box is live.
**How To Read The Lower-Right Panel**
The lower-right panel is the multi-timeframe trend dashboard.
It shows:
TF.
Bias.
Score.
Read.
The score is built from MACD, RSI, Stochastic, ADX and DI, EMA direction, and volume pressure.
Positive scores support bullish pressure.
Negative scores support bearish pressure.
Strong means there is broad agreement.
Lean means there is partial agreement.
Mixed means there is no clear edge.
**How To Use Volume**
Volume should help confirm participation.
Demand means buying pressure.
Supply means selling pressure.
Confirmed Demand or Confirmed Supply means pressure is supported by stronger volume.
Climax states mean very high participation.
Absorption means effort without enough result, which can be a caution sign.
Dry means participation is low.
Volume should not be used alone. It is most useful when read beside trend direction and volatility.
**How To Use Volatility**
Volatility is based on ATR.
Contained means current ATR is at or below its recent average.
Expanded means current ATR is above its recent average.
Expanded volatility is not automatically bad, but it means stops, targets, and position size need more care.
Volatility Ratio shows current ATR as a percentage of average ATR.
For example, 116.6% means current ATR is 16.6% above its recent average.
**How To Use Chop**
The chop filter helps avoid low-quality signals.
It looks for weak ADX, compressed EMA zones, flat EMA structure, and price tangled inside multiple EMA zones.
When chop is active, the script can block new entries.
If chop is active, the better action is often to wait.
**How To Use RSI Clues**
RSI reversal arrows are optional timing clues.
They are not the main signal.
Bullish RSI reversal arrows appear after oversold recovery and price confirmation.
Bearish RSI reversal arrows appear after overbought rejection and price confirmation.
Candles can also be colored when RSI crosses key levels.
RSI above 55 can mark bullish momentum.
RSI below 45 can mark bearish momentum.
**How To Use Session Lines**
The script can show market open and close lines.
Solid vertical lines show opens.
Dashed vertical lines show closes.
Included sessions are Asia, London, New York, and India.
India uses fixed NSE open and close timing by default:
Open: 09:15 Asia/Kolkata.
Close: 15:30 Asia/Kolkata.
There is a master switch to turn all vertical session lines off.
**How To Reduce Chart Clutter**
The top settings include Reduce chart clutter.
When enabled, it hides:
Higher-timeframe Supertrend chart lines.
Higher-timeframe Supertrend shading.
Vertical session lines.
The lower-left stats panel.
The Read column content in the upper-right checklist.
The multi-timeframe panel remains visible and moves to the lower-left, using the space where the stats panel was hidden.
This is useful when the trader wants the cleanest chart view while keeping the main trend dashboard.
**How To Use The Stats**
The stats panel is for study.
It can show Supertrend buy and sell win rate.
It can also show TL buy, TL sell, and TL total win rate.
These are based on the script's own TP and SL outcomes.
They should not be treated as guaranteed future performance.
They are most useful for comparing markets, timeframes, and settings.
**Practical Workflow**
Start with the higher-timeframe direction.
Check whether the chart Supertrend agrees.
Look at the lower-right panel to see whether multiple timeframes support the idea.
Check ADX, volume, volatility, and chop.
Wait for candle-close confirmation if that option is enabled.
Use the trade box to judge TP1, TP2, and SL.
Use TL labels as trendline break confirmation, not as isolated entries.
Avoid taking signals when the chart is compressed, mixed, or unclear.
**Important Note**
Scalp 2 Swing is a decision-support indicator.
It does not guarantee profitable trades.
Use it to structure decisions, compare conditions, and reduce guesswork.
Always test settings on your own market, timeframe, and trading style before using it live.
