AG Pro Inducement & Trap Quality [AGPro Series]

OVERVIEW / WHAT IT DOES

AG Pro Inducement & Trap Quality is an overlay tool built to map short-lived trap behavior around smaller inducement levels rather than broad market structure alone. The script focuses on moments where price appears to invite participation through a nearby internal level, briefly pushes beyond that level, and then reclaims it quickly enough to suggest failed continuation pressure.

In practical terms, this tool is designed to highlight a very specific type of behavior: local liquidity engineering around minor swing references. Instead of treating every sweep as equally meaningful, it evaluates whether the move shows the characteristics of a more deliberate trap sequence. This helps separate routine noise from cleaner rejection events that may deserve closer attention.

The script identifies compact inducement references, monitors whether those levels are exceeded, and then evaluates the quality of the reclaim using a rules-based scoring model. The output is intentionally visual and compact: trap labels, score readouts, engineered-liquidity context, and a lightweight status panel that keeps the chart readable while still surfacing the most important state information.

This is not a broad “smart money everything” overlay, and it is not a general market-structure engine. Its role is narrower and more specific: to help users study micro trap behavior around inducement levels with a structured, visual framework.

UNIQUE EDGE

Many trap-style overlays simply mark local sweeps or label wick rejections without distinguishing between low-quality noise and more organized rejection behavior. This script takes a narrower path.

Its core distinction is that it is built around inducement-first logic. The process begins with smaller internal swing references that may function as local liquidity magnets. From there, the script evaluates whether price briefly runs that level and reclaims it with enough quality to qualify as a more meaningful trap event.

This makes the script materially different from tools that primarily map:
- full structure breaks,
- broad liquidity sweeps across larger swing highs and lows,
- order blocks or fair value gaps,
- or generic reversal candles.

The objective here is not to classify the whole market. The objective is to organize one specific event class: short-lived inducement failure and trap quality around internal levels.

METHODOLOGY

1) Inducement level detection
The script scans for smaller swing references that can function as local inducement levels. These are not intended to replace major support or resistance logic. They serve as nearby internal references around which short-term trap behavior may form.

2) Sweep and reclaim logic
After an inducement level is identified, the script monitors whether price briefly trades beyond that level. A trap candidate is only considered when the move fails to sustain beyond the level and price reclaims the reference within a limited confirmation window.

3) Quality model
Each trap candidate is scored using a rules-based quality framework. The score is not arbitrary. It is derived from components such as:
- reclaim speed,
- relative volume behavior,
- wick proportion,
- and overshoot control.

The purpose of the score is not prediction. It is prioritization. A higher score suggests that the rejection characteristics were cleaner according to the script’s internal rules.

4) Engineered liquidity context
When inducement logic becomes active, the script can visualize engineered-liquidity context so users can see where price is interacting with a recently relevant internal level. This is meant to improve readability and sequencing, not to imply certainty.

5) Visual decluttering and presentation controls
To keep the overlay usable, the script includes compact labeling, importance filtering, label spacing controls, and a small status panel. These features are presentation tools designed to reduce clutter without changing the underlying trap logic.

SIGNALS & ALERTS

The script can visualize bull and bear trap events after inducement-level interaction and reclaim confirmation.

Typical readouts include:
- TRAP labels,
- quality score values,
- inducement / engineered-liquidity context,
- and panel status information such as recent trap state and current watch state.

Alert conditions are designed around deterministic script events rather than discretionary interpretation. As with any alert-based study, users should confirm how they want to use those events inside their own workflow before relying on them in live conditions.

KEY INPUTS

Important controls typically include:
- inducement swing sensitivity,
- confirmation window / reclaim timing,
- volume and wick weighting inputs,
- overshoot tolerance,
- compact label display,
- importance filtering,
- panel visibility and position,
- and vertical label offset controls.

These settings allow the user to decide whether they want broader coverage or a stricter, more selective readout.

HOW THIS DIFFERS FROM OTHER AG PRO TOOLS

This script is intentionally specialized.

It is not a BOS / CHoCH engine and does not attempt to label full structural transitions.
It is not an order block tool and does not frame the chart through block logic.
It is not a fair value gap map and does not organize imbalance zones as its primary lens.
It is not a broad liquidity sweep tool built around larger external swing raids.

Instead, this script concentrates on micro inducement behavior: smaller internal references, brief level violations, fast reclaim structure, and the relative quality of the resulting trap.

That narrower scope is the point. The script is designed to help users study one recurring behavior class in a more disciplined and readable way.

LIMITATIONS & TRANSPARENCY

This script is a visual and analytical aid. It does not know intent, news context, execution conditions, or participant positioning.

A trap label does not guarantee reversal.
A higher quality score does not guarantee continuation.
A low-quality score does not mean the area is irrelevant.
Internal inducement levels can vary in significance depending on volatility regime, instrument behavior, and timeframe selection.

Like any rules-based overlay, this script is sensitive to parameter choices. More permissive settings may surface more events but also more noise. Stricter settings may improve selectivity while naturally reducing signal frequency.

Users should also understand that inducement and trap concepts are interpretive by nature. This script translates those ideas into a deterministic ruleset for chart study. That conversion is useful, but it is still a model.

RISK DISCLOSURE

This script is for chart analysis and educational use. It is not financial advice, not a trade signal service, and not a promise of outcome.

All trading and investing involve risk. Market conditions can change quickly, and no indicator or overlay can eliminate uncertainty. Users should evaluate signals in context, apply their own risk management, and avoid treating any single chart tool as a complete decision system.

WHAT THIS SCRIPT IS NOT

To make the scope clear, this script is not:
- a guaranteed reversal detector,
- a one-click trade system,
- a full market-structure replacement,
- or a standalone execution model.

It is a focused overlay for studying inducement-driven trap behavior with a cleaner visual framework.

NOTES

Best use cases typically come from combining this script with context that the user already trusts, such as trend structure, higher-timeframe location, or broader execution rules. The tool is intended to improve organization and observation around inducement and trap sequences, not to replace judgment.

If you prefer a cleaner chart, use the compact display and importance filter settings. If you prefer a more exploratory workflow, relax the filter and study how the scoring reacts across different conditions.

Update Notes - V1.1

Version 1.1 focuses on visual refinement, panel standardization, and cleaner signal presentation while preserving the core inducement and trap detection framework.

What changed in this update:

• Refined the status panel layout with a standardized single-line blue header that displays only the script name.
• Updated the panel presentation to better match the current AG Pro visual system.
• Set the default panel font size to Small for a cleaner and more compact appearance.
• Kept label sizing aligned with the preferred Normal default for better chart readability.
• Reduced chart clutter by removing secondary helper markers that were visually competing with the main trap labels.
• Improved same-side signal spacing so nearby labels are less likely to stack too tightly in clustered areas.
• Increased label offset behavior in dense regions to maintain clearer separation from candles and nearby labels.
• Softened active level and zone rendering to keep candles more visible without removing structural context.
• Preserved the core inducement, sweep, reclaim, and quality scoring logic while improving visual organization.
• Maintained the compact trap label workflow and panel structure for a more consistent publication-ready presentation.

Notes:

• This update is primarily a usability and chart-clarity refinement.
• The script remains an analytical tool for highlighting inducement and trap-style behavior around internal liquidity levels.
• It is not a forecasting engine, trade automation system, or guarantee-based signal model.

UPDATE NOTES - V3.1

This update focuses on clearer trap-zone storytelling, centered visual communication, cleaner publication defaults, and stronger chart readability.

The core purpose of the script remains unchanged.
This release improves how the existing inducement and trap-quality logic is presented, organized, and interpreted on the chart.

This script continues to function as an analytical and visualization tool.
It does not attempt to predict price direction or provide guaranteed outcomes.

------------------------
What Changed
------------------------

* Added centered IDM Zone text.
Active inducement zones now show whether the reference is armed, fresh, or in sweep-watch mode directly inside the zone.

* Added centered Trap Failure Pocket text.
Fresh trap pockets now display direction, quality score, and retest-review context inside the pocket itself.

* Connected the trap story across chart elements.
The active IDM zone, trap label, failure pocket, and AG Pro panel now communicate the same inducement / trap quality workflow.

* Reduced chart-object budgets to a more efficient public-release profile.
The script still keeps enough visible zones, labels, guide lines, and pockets for a premium screenshot while avoiding unnecessarily heavy object limits.

* Preserved the existing rules-based quality engine.
Trap quality still evaluates reclaim speed, relative volume, wick rejection, overshoot control, and reclaim depth.

------------------------
Visual Improvements
------------------------

* Improved chart readability by placing the main context inside the active IDM zone and trap pocket.

* Reduced visual ambiguity between armed inducement references, sweep-watch states, confirmed traps, and active pockets.

* Refined visual hierarchy so the chart feels more intentional without becoming crowded.

* Adjusted default visual structure to avoid empty-chart appearance while keeping labels controlled.

------------------------
Interface & Usability
------------------------

* Added Show Centered IDM Zone Text.

* Added Show Centered Pocket Text.

* Kept the AG Pro panel visible by default with location, theme, and font-size controls.

* Preserved adjustable label sizing, compact trap labels, smart spacing, guide lines, and visibility filters.

------------------------
Behavior Notes
------------------------

This update does not change the core analytical logic of the script.

The goal is to improve clarity and usability, not to introduce predictive behavior.

Users should interpret outputs the same way as before, but with a clearer inducement-zone and trap-pocket visual structure.

------------------------
Limitations Reminder
------------------------

The script remains a rule-based analytical tool.

Market conditions such as volatility, liquidity, timeframe differences, internal swing quality, and volume reliability may affect how trap states appear.

Outputs should always be interpreted within broader market context.

------------------------
Risk Reminder
------------------------

This script is for educational and analytical purposes only.

It does not provide financial advice or guaranteed trading outcomes.

Users remain responsible for their own decisions.

UPDATE NOTES - V3.5

This update focuses on premium zone badges, one-line label readability, and preserving the script's core inducement-zone story.

The core purpose of the script remains unchanged.
This release keeps the active IDM zone context visible without using floating white text.

This script continues to function as an analytical and visualization tool.
It does not attempt to predict price direction or provide guaranteed outcomes.

------------------------
What Changed
------------------------

* Replaced floating centered IDM zone text with colored zone badge labels.
The active zone context now appears as a strong one-line badge such as BEAR IDM ARMED or BULL IDM WATCH.

* Restored visible zone context by default.
The script no longer hides the main zone story. It shows the newest active IDM badge by default while avoiding text superposition.

* Converted short labels to one-line text.
Compact labels now use one-line wording such as TRAP Q87, TRAP IDM, BULL POCKET Q64, and BEAR IDM ARMED.

* Kept white text only inside colored label boxes.
Zone badges and trap labels use strong colored backgrounds, so white text remains supported and readable.

* Removed floating text from transparent zone boxes.
The transparent zone boxes now provide the visual range, while colored badge labels provide the readable text.

------------------------
Visual Improvements
------------------------

* Improved the premium look of active zones by using colored badge labels instead of unsupported floating text.

* Reduced vertical label height by keeping short labels on one line.

* Preserved the script's most important visual feature: active inducement zone context.

* Reduced overlap risk around clustered upper and lower IDM zones.

------------------------
Interface & Usability
------------------------

* Show Zone Badge Labels is enabled by default.

* Zone Badge Mode defaults to Latest Only for clean public screenshots.

* All mode remains available for detailed review when users want both upper and lower active zone badges.

* Existing controls remain available: Pocket Text Mode, label size, panel location, panel theme, and panel font size.

------------------------
Behavior Notes
------------------------

This update does not change the trap detection or quality scoring logic.

The update is visual only and addresses readability, branding quality, and zone-context communication.

Users should interpret outputs the same way as before.

------------------------
Limitations Reminder
------------------------

The script remains a rule-based analytical tool.

Very dense historical trap clusters can still require lower label size, Fresh Latest mode, or Pocket Text Off depending on symbol and timeframe.

Outputs should always be interpreted within broader market context.

------------------------
Risk Reminder
------------------------

This script is for educational and analytical purposes only.

It does not provide financial advice or guaranteed trading outcomes.

Users remain responsible for their own decisions.

UPDATE NOTES - v3.6

This update focuses on readability and visual clarity.

The core purpose of the script remains unchanged. This release refines how the
existing inducement and trap detection is presented on the chart.

This script continues to function as an analytical and visualization tool. It
does not attempt to predict price direction or provide guaranteed outcomes.

------------------------
What Changed
------------------------

- Softer armed-level guides
The active inducement level guides were softened so they read as secondary
context, letting the quality-scored trap labels and failure pockets stand out
as the primary layer.

- Cleaner background glow
The fresh-trap background glow was shortened so it highlights a new signal
briefly without leaving lingering bands across the chart.

- More breathing room between trap labels
The default same-side signal gap was widened slightly so clustered trap labels
spread out and stay readable in busy regimes.

------------------------
Visual Improvements
------------------------

- Improved visual hierarchy so trap quality scores and pockets are the focal
points and the level guides recede into the background.

- Reduced visual clutter from background glow and clustered labels.

- Preserved compact, quality-scored trap labels offset above or below candles.

- Kept the failure-pocket retest zones clear and easy to read.

------------------------
Interface & Usability
------------------------

- Optimized the default chart layout for a cleaner first glance.

- Improved label readability in clustered conditions.

- Adjusted default visual settings (level-guide presence, glow duration, signal
spacing) for a more balanced appearance.

- Enhanced overall user experience without changing core logic.

------------------------
Behavior Notes
------------------------

This update does not change the core analytical logic of the script.

The goal is to improve clarity and usability, not to introduce new predictive
behavior. Inducement detection, the sweep and trap logic, the 0-100 quality
score, the failure pockets, and the status panel all behave exactly as before.

Users should interpret outputs the same way as before, but with improved visual
structure.

------------------------
Limitations Reminder
------------------------

The script remains a rule-based analytical tool.

Market conditions such as volatility, liquidity, and timeframe differences may
affect how inducement levels, sweeps, and traps appear. Outputs should always be
interpreted within broader market context.

------------------------
Risk Reminder
------------------------

This script is for educational and analytical purposes only.

It does not provide financial advice or guaranteed trading outcomes. Users
remain responsible for their own decisions.

UPDATE NOTES - Version 3.7

This update focuses on adding a confirmation-anchored proof layer to the panel.

The core purpose of the script remains unchanged.
This release adds a proof layer that measures how often a confirmed trap ran one risk unit in the
reclaim direction before returning through the sweep extreme, and removes a redundant panel row.

This script continues to function as an analytical and visualization tool.
It does not attempt to predict price direction or provide guaranteed outcomes.

------------------------
What Changed
------------------------

* Added a Proof Layer (Follow / Hold / React / Flip)
The panel now reports how confirmed traps resolved on the current symbol and timeframe. Each time
a trap confirms, the script tracks it forward over a configurable horizon using the trap's own
structure: the entry is the reclaim close, the adverse reference is the sweep extreme (the level
price returns through if the trap fails), and the favorable reference is one risk unit in the
reclaim direction.
- Follow Rate : share of traps that ran one risk unit in the reclaim direction first
- Hold Rate : share whose sweep extreme was not returned through by resolution
- React Rate : share that produced an early favorable reaction in the reclaim direction
- Flip Rate : share that returned through the sweep extreme, meaning the trap failed
A sample size (n) is shown so the rates are read in context, and they display as "building" only
until the first trap resolves. The risk unit is floored by a small ATR amount so very thin sweeps
do not produce trivially close targets.

* Removed the redundant armed row
The armed row repeated the same state already shown by the bias row, so the panel now carries the
proof layer instead while keeping the bias, last-trap, pocket, and filter rows.

* Converted the panel to a rebuild-aware structure
The panel now rebuilds cleanly when the proof layer is toggled, so the proof rows appear and
disappear without leaving stale cells.

* Added hidden proof outputs
The last trap score and the Follow, Hold, React, and Flip rates are exported as hidden plots so
they can be used in alerts and screeners without adding chart clutter.

------------------------
Visual Improvements
------------------------

* Kept the active IDM zones, zone badges, trap labels, quality score labels, guide lines, failure
pockets, fresh-trap glow, and active level guides exactly as before.

* Preserved the existing label spacing, same-side signal gap, and stack controls so the chart stays
active but not crowded.

------------------------
Behavior Notes
------------------------

This update does not change the core inducement, sweep, reclaim, scoring, or pocket logic.

The proof rates are descriptive statistics of confirmed traps on the current symbol and timeframe.
They measure how often a trap reclaim ran one risk unit before failing back through the sweep
extreme, and they do not change how inducement levels, sweeps, traps, scores, or pockets are
produced.

Users should interpret outputs the same way as before, now with added reliability context.

------------------------
Limitations Reminder
------------------------

The script remains a rule-based analytical tool.

Proof rates depend on the available history and on how many traps confirmed on the current symbol
and timeframe; a small sample (low n) should be treated with caution. Each confirmed trap is counted
once, with the entry, sweep extreme, and target frozen at the confirmation bar. Market conditions
such as volatility, liquidity, and timeframe differences may affect how traps and rates appear.

Outputs should always be interpreted within broader market context.

------------------------
Risk Reminder
------------------------

This script is for educational and analytical purposes only.

It does not provide financial advice or guaranteed trading outcomes.

Users remain responsible for their own decisions.

Version 3.8 — Pocket Badge Clarity and Publication Density

This update refines the publication presentation by reducing repeated historical labels, separating event badges from candles, softening short-lived background emphasis, and converting active pocket text into a contrast-safe centered badge. Trap detection, quality scoring, proof statistics, pocket lifecycle calculations, and alert behavior remain unchanged.

• Raised the default visual Importance Filter from Q55+ to Q70+ so the publication chart prioritizes stronger trap events while lower-quality detections remain available to logic and alerts.

• Increased the default same-side signal gap from 7 to 12 bars, reducing repeated Bull or Bear TRAP labels in congested sections without changing signal detection.

• Increased the default trap-label offset from 0.18 ATR to 0.42 ATR so quality badges sit farther from candle bodies and wicks.

• Replaced transparent in-box pocket text with a separate filled Bull or Bear pocket badge that remains horizontally and vertically centered as the active pocket extends.

• Routed the new pocket badge through the existing Label Size control and retained Latest Only as the default pocket-text mode.

• Disabled Fresh Trap Glow by default, reduced its optional duration from 2 bars to 1 bar, and increased its transparency. The feature remains available, but publication charts no longer inherit repeated vertical background stripes.

• Preserved the active IDM zone badges, trap guide lines, panel layout, proof rows, Normal default font sizes, and single merged blue panel title.

• Advanced the publication version to 3.8. No changes were made to inducement detection, sweep and reclaim qualification, trap-quality weighting, proof evaluation, pocket invalidation, or the four alert conditions.
