Thygoo’s Box
Draws the range of the first hour of the Globex session (6 PM to 7 PM New York) as a box. It starts at 7 PM and runs until 4 PM New York the next day, so you can see where price is trading against that opening hour for the whole session.
How it works
Each session, it records the high and low of the 6 to 7 PM New York hour.
When the hour ends, it draws one box from 7 PM to the next day’s 4 PM, using that high and low.
The Sunday evening open gets its box too. It runs until Monday 4 PM.
Boxes are placed by time, so long histories load without errors.
Settings
Box color
Fill opacity and border opacity
Border thickness (0 turns the border off)
How many boxes to show: Current, Last 3, Last 5 or All
Notes
Made for intraday charts. The 5 minute chart is the one I use. It works on charts of 1 hour or lower.
Times are fixed to New York time.
On very low timeframes, TradingView limits how far ahead a box can be drawn, so the right edge of the current box may grow through the session instead of showing the full length at once.
