SBP Market Behaviour Navigator

SBP Market Behaviour Navigator is a rule-based chart analysis indicator designed to organize trend, price behaviour, volume participation, and continuation conditions into a single visual framework.

The indicator uses several internally calculated components. These components are evaluated together rather than displayed as multiple independent indicators, helping keep the chart simple while preserving the underlying analytical structure.

How the indicator works

The Dynamic Trendline is built from a smoothed price base with an adaptive response mechanism. Its directional state uses price position, trend behaviour, and an ATR-based buffer. The buffer and confirmation logic are intended to reduce frequent trend-state changes caused by smaller pullbacks.

The Trend component evaluates the persistent trendline state together with a smoothed trend filter and an adaptive moving average direction.

The Reversal Behaviour component examines prior price extension, interaction with recent price extremes, candle-body characteristics, and the closing position within the candle range. This component is used as an internal price-behaviour condition and is not displayed as a separate reversal signal.

The Volume Behaviour component compares current volume with its average and evaluates where the candle closes within its range. This helps identify bars showing comparatively higher participation.

The Participation Flow component combines directional price movement, relative volume participation, and candle closing location. It is used internally as an additional directional condition.

A separate Trend Continuation component evaluates price resumption during an established trend. This allows the script to consider continuation behaviour independently from reversal behaviour.

BUY and SALE labels

The internal components are combined through a rule-based alignment process. BUY and SALE labels appear only when the script's directional and separation conditions are satisfied.

Signals follow an alternating sequence:

BUY → SALE → BUY → SALE

After a BUY label, another BUY label is not displayed until a qualifying SALE condition occurs. The same principle applies after a SALE label.

The script also applies internal bar-spacing and ATR-distance requirements between signals. These conditions are intended to reduce closely grouped labels during short-term price fluctuations.

Trading Modes

The indicator provides three calculation modes:

SCALPING uses faster internal parameters for shorter-term chart movement.

INTRADAY uses additional signal spacing and stricter internal alignment to reduce frequent directional changes.

SWING uses slower smoothing and wider trend-state thresholds for broader price movement.

Changing the mode adjusts the internal calculation parameters. It does not change the basic analytical methodology of the indicator.

Visual controls

Users can independently show or hide the Dynamic Trendline, Trend Filter, Adaptive Average, and BUY/SALE labels.

These settings control visual display only. Hiding a visual element does not disable or modify the internal analytical calculations.

Signal calculation

BUY and SALE conditions are evaluated on confirmed chart bars. The script does not use a negative plotting offset to place newly detected signals on earlier bars.

Alerts use the same confirmed-bar BUY and SALE conditions displayed by the indicator.

Important information

This indicator is intended for educational and informational chart analysis. BUY and SALE labels represent conditions defined by the script's rule-based methodology. They do not predict future prices, guarantee a market move, or represent guaranteed trading outcomes.

Market conditions can change, and signals may be followed by adverse price movement. Users should evaluate the indicator together with their own market analysis, trading plan, and risk-management approach.

Note di rilascio
SBP Market Behaviour Navigator is a chart-analysis indicator designed to organise price behaviour across Scalping, Intraday and Swing modes.

The indicator evaluates trend direction, adaptive price behaviour, candle structure, relative volume, directional flow and ATR-normalised price movement. BUY and SALE labels identify script-defined analytical conditions completed on confirmed chart bars.

Trading Modes

SCALPING is the default mode. It uses a faster strength-transition framework to evaluate short-term changes in bullish and bearish directional agreement.

INTRADAY uses a more selective framework and also evaluates intermediate directional transitions between broader market moves.

SWING uses slower calculations and wider signal separation to observe broader directional behaviour.

Strength Trend Filter

The Strength Trend Filter provides a visual summary of directional agreement.

Green indicates greater bullish agreement.
Red indicates greater bearish agreement.
Gray indicates balanced or unclear conditions.

More solid colours represent greater agreement among the indicator's internal trend, adaptive direction, flow and volume conditions. Colour strength is a rule-based visual measure and is not a probability or prediction.

Market Behaviour Framework

The indicator evaluates persistent trend state, adaptive price direction, recent price extremes, candle rejection, relative volume, directional participation and trend continuation.

ATR-based calculations are used to normalise price displacement and adjust the analysis to current volatility.

These conditions work together as an analytical framework. No single condition automatically creates a signal.

BUY and SALE Labels

A BUY label indicates that bullish conditions required by the selected mode have been satisfied.

A SALE label indicates that bearish conditions required by the selected mode have been satisfied.

Signals are evaluated on confirmed chart bars and follow directional alternation. After a BUY, another BUY is not displayed until an eligible SALE condition occurs, and vice versa.

Mode-specific bar spacing and ATR-based separation help reduce repeated signals occurring too close together.

BUY and SALE labels are analytical chart markers and are not trade execution instructions.

Visual Controls and Alerts

Users can control the display of the Dynamic Trendline, Strength Trend Filter, Adaptive Average and BUY/SALE labels.

Alerts are available for SCALPING, INTRADAY and SWING BUY/SALE conditions, together with combined all-mode signal alerts.

Important Information

SBP Market Behaviour Navigator is an indicator, not a TradingView strategy. It does not place orders, manage positions or calculate trading profitability.

The indicator uses rule-based calculations from current and historical chart data. BUY and SALE labels do not predict future price movement, and market conditions may change after a signal appears.

This indicator is provided for educational and informational chart analysis only. Nothing displayed constitutes investment or financial advice or a recommendation to buy or sell any financial instrument.

Trading and investing involve risk. Past chart behaviour does not guarantee future results. Users remain responsible for their own analysis, decisions and risk management.

SBP Market Behaviour Navigator V3.2

Overview

SBP Market Behaviour Navigator V3.2 is a rule-based chart-analysis indicator created to identify qualified bullish and bearish changes in market behaviour. It is designed as one coordinated analytical framework rather than a collection of independent indicators. Directional state, confirmed price structure, momentum progression, participation quality, volatility, pullback behaviour, continuation strength and extension risk are evaluated together before any BUY or SALE label is permitted.

The script is an indicator, not a strategy. It does not place orders, calculate position size, predict future prices or guarantee results. Labels identify conditions confirmed on completed chart bars and should be interpreted with the user’s own risk-management process.

Methodology

The script first establishes an adaptive directional regime. A smoothed price reference is combined with a continuously updated internal trend path whose response changes according to the speed of market movement relative to current volatility. This allows the directional state to respond faster when movement becomes decisive while remaining more stable during slower conditions.

Confirmed swing structure is then evaluated. Recent pivot highs and lows are stored and compared to identify constructive or weakening structure. A confirmed close beyond a stored structural level receives additional weight because it represents a completed price transition rather than an intrabar excursion.

Momentum is assessed through the progression of recent price changes. Participation quality considers relative activity, candle direction and where the candle closes within its own range. These calculations help separate movement supported by directional participation from movement that closes weakly or lacks follow-through.

The script also evaluates reversal behaviour near recent extremes. Prior directional stretching, candle body proportion, wick balance, rejection of a recent high or low and the closing location are assessed together. A reversal component contributes to the final decision only when these related conditions agree.

Pullback and continuation process

During an established directional phase, the framework records controlled pullbacks toward its internal trend references. A continuation event requires a recent pullback, renewed momentum and a directional release beyond the previous bar. This is intended to distinguish continuation after a reset from a label generated after price has already travelled too far.

Extension control measures the distance between price and the internal trend reference in volatility units. It also tracks consecutive directional candles. A potential signal can be rejected when the move is considered excessively extended, helping reduce late labels during already stretched movement.

Unified quality model

All analytical components feed one weighted quality model. Directional regime, structure, momentum, participation, reversal behaviour, persistence and continuation contribute to separate bullish and bearish quality values. Both sides are evaluated simultaneously.

A signal is accepted only when one direction reaches the required quality threshold, leads the opposing direction by a sufficient margin and is not blocked by the extension filter. None of the internal calculations independently prints a trading label. Every primary signal and optional re-entry must pass through the same central state-driven router.

Signal Profile

FAST reduces the minimum spacing, distance requirement, quality threshold and directional lead. It is intended for users who prefer earlier and more frequent observations, with the understanding that responsiveness can increase noise.

BALANCED is the default profile. It applies the standard internal spacing and quality requirements and is intended as the general-purpose setting for all three trading modes.

CONSERVATIVE increases spacing, distance, quality threshold and directional lead. It is intended for users who prefer fewer signals with stronger agreement among the internal conditions. No profile can remove the normal limitations of technical analysis.

Signal sequencing and re-entry

The router maintains the current signal state. After a primary BUY, the next primary signal must be a SALE. After a primary SALE, the next primary signal must be a BUY. This strict alternation prevents repeated primary signals in the same direction.

BUY and SALE re-entry features are optional and disabled by default. A re-entry is allowed only after a qualified pullback, renewed release, sufficient profile-adjusted spacing and a fresh quality check. Re-entry signals do not replace the primary alternation process.

Trading modes

SCALPING uses the shortest internal lengths and most responsive confirmation timing. INTRADAY applies moderate smoothing and spacing. SWING is the default mode and uses broader confirmed structure while retaining comparatively responsive swing recognition. Trading Mode changes sensitivity and spacing without changing the underlying methodology.

Chart elements and controls

The Dynamic Trendline is displayed by default with width 2 and changes colour with the directional state. The Strength Trend Filter and Adaptive Average remain optional and are disabled by default to keep the chart clean. BUY, SALE and re-entry labels can be shown or hidden independently. Colours, line widths and label sizes are controlled from Inputs, while Style-tab entries are intentionally minimised.

How to use

Select the Trading Mode for the intended analysis horizon and then choose the Signal Profile according to the preferred balance between responsiveness and selectivity. Treat labels as analytical observations, not automatic instructions. Consider market session, liquidity, price location, instrument behaviour and personal risk limits before acting.

Signals are evaluated only on confirmed bars. Confirmed swing calculations require later price information by their nature, so structural confirmation is not intended to identify the exact turning point. The indicator can produce false transitions in sideways markets, delayed signals during rapid movement and fewer observations during low participation.
Note di rilascio
SBP Market Behaviour Navigator is an integrated price, participation and developing volume-structure framework designed to identify meaningful intraday directional changes without relying on a single crossover or isolated candle pattern.

The script combines several related measurements because each component answers a different part of the same trading question: Is price showing sufficient structural, directional and participation evidence to support a new Buy or Sale condition?

DEVELOPING VOLUME STRUCTURE

The indicator creates an internal approximation of the current session’s volume distribution. Each completed candle’s reported volume is distributed across the price levels touched by that candle. From this developing distribution, the script identifies the most actively traded region and calculates an evolving value area.

This is an analytical approximation based on chart-bar volume rather than tick-by-tick exchange volume.

The developing structure provides three important references:

• The session’s dominant volume level
• The lower boundary of accepted value
• The upper boundary of accepted value

These levels are converted into a progressively adjusted internal value structure. The centre and width cannot move without limitation on a single candle. This controlled adjustment helps prevent sudden changes in the developing profile from producing unstable signals.

DIRECTIONAL EVIDENCE

The indicator evaluates short- and medium-term price alignment, directional movement, smoothed momentum, displacement from an equilibrium reference and price position relative to developing value.

These measurements are normalized and combined into a directional score. The purpose is not simply to determine whether price is rising or falling, but to evaluate whether several independent forms of directional evidence agree.

DYNAMIC TRENDLINE AND REVERSAL ASSESSMENT

The Dynamic Trendline is calculated through weighted price smoothing followed by final noise reduction. Its colour reflects whether the line is presently rising or falling.

Unlike a conventional moving line used only for visual direction, this trendline also participates in reversal assessment. When price approaches or crosses the line, the script examines:

• Whether the candle closes back on the appropriate side
• The relationship between upper and lower candle wicks
• Whether the line’s slope is strengthening, weakening or changing direction
• Whether the broader directional score supports the response
• Whether market participation and price structure confirm the move

A touch of the trendline alone does not generate a signal. This is important because the line is dynamic and naturally changes position as price moves. The additional tests help distinguish a potentially meaningful rejection from an ordinary interaction with a moving reference.

BULL AND BEAR RIBBON

The Bull and Bear Ribbon provides visual directional context. It combines a volume-weighted market balance, normalized price displacement, directional slope and the location of the candle’s close within its range.

A Bull Ribbon appears when participation and price behaviour support positive control. A Bear Ribbon appears when they support negative control. The ribbon is calculated separately from the final Buy and Sale rules and should be treated as contextual confirmation rather than an independent trade instruction.

BUY AND SALE SIGNALS

A Buy or Sale requires agreement among price response, directional strength, volume participation and developing market structure.

The script recognizes structural responses such as rejection of a prior extreme, a confirmed short-range break, acceptance outside developing value or a qualified response from the Dynamic Trendline. It also suppresses signals during inefficient price compression.

Final signals are generated only after the candle closes. They use zero plotting offset and follow strict alternation: after a Buy, another Buy cannot appear until a Sale has been confirmed, and vice versa.

USAGE

The indicator is intended as a decision-support framework rather than a prediction guarantee. Traders should evaluate signals together with market liquidity, timeframe, risk limits and the surrounding price structure.

Alerts are available for confirmed Buy, confirmed Sale, combined Buy-or-Sale events, and the beginning of a new Bull or Bear Ribbon condition. For the clearest publication chart, display this indicator without unrelated scripts or unexplained drawings.
