USDCAD trend forecast September 05 , 2025
💬USD/CAD snaps its four-day rally, retreating to around 1.3810 during Friday’s Asian session. The pair weakens as the US Dollar (USD) comes under pressure following softer-than-anticipated US employment data. Market participants now look ahead to additional labor figures that could influence the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) policy stance in September. Current forecasts suggest Nonfarm Payrolls may show an increase of roughly 75,000 jobs in August, with unemployment expected to hold near 4.3%.
Should upcoming data disappoint further, expectations for a September Fed rate cut would strengthen, likely weighing on the Greenback. According to the CME FedWatch tool, markets are now pricing in over a 99% probability of a 25-basis-point (bps) cut at the September meeting, up sharply from 87% just one week ago.
💬 Technically, USDCAD is moving in a steady uptrend along 2 trendlines. Touching both ends of the trendline and reacting in reverse.
