GOLD | Volatility Returns as War Jitters Rise
Gold sharply dropped toward 4730, erasing recent gains, as rising U.S. dollar strength and bond yields outweighed safe-haven demand.
Despite geopolitical tension, the classic “war trade” dynamic is in play:
Oil up + USD strong + yields rising = pressure on gold
Now, the market is caught between:
Safe-haven demand (bullish)
Rising yields & USD strength (bearish)
Technically:
As long as price remains above 4787, gold may attempt a recovery toward 4836 → 4860 → 4907
However, a confirmed 1H close below 4787 would shift momentum to bearish, targeting 4759 → 4700 → 4733 zone.
Key Levels:
Pivot Line: 4804
Support: 4787 – 4760 – 4733
Resistance: 4836 – 4860 – 4907
