BTM - Trend Cockpit

A car-style dashboard panel that brings the most widely used trend tools together in one place, so you can see at a glance whether the market is trending, which way, how strongly — and whether volume and the other timeframes agree.

It is a directional confirmation tool. It does not generate buy or sell signals.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
WHAT THE PANEL SHOWS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

HEADER — the overall bias (BULLISH / BEARISH / NO CLEAR BIAS). The header and frame change colour with it.

LED METERS — five independent trend tools, each lit like a rev counter. An empty bar means neutral, a full bar means the strongest reading, in green (bullish), amber (neutral) or red (bearish):
• Moving Averages: price vs the 200 EMA, 50/200 EMA alignment and the 50 EMA slope
• ADX / DMI: direction from +DI / −DI, scaled by ADX strength (below 20 = NO TREND)
• MACD: MACD vs its signal line and the zero line, plus histogram strength
• Supertrend: direction and distance of price from the Supertrend line
• Ichimoku: price vs the cloud, the Tenkan/Kijun cross and the colour of the future cloud

STEEPNESS — a centre-zero meter showing how steep the trend is. It lights left for a bearish slope and right for a bullish one. It is based on a 50-bar linear-regression slope measured against ATR, so it is comparable across markets. 100% represents roughly the steepest 5% of trends for that asset class. Under 15% reads as FLAT.

AGREEMENT — five lights, one per indicator, plus the count (e.g. 4/5 ▼).

TIMEFRAMES — seven lights for 1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, 30m, 1H and 4H. Each shows whether price is above a rising 50 EMA or below a falling one on that timeframe, plus the consensus count (e.g. 6/7 BEAR).

VOLUME — mirrored rising bricks. Selling is on the left, buying on the right, and the two always add up to 100%. The buy/sell split is estimated from the 1-minute candles inside each chart candle: up-closes count as buying, down-closes as selling. The bricks are faded when overall activity is low and bright when it is high. Below the bricks: activity as a percentile of the last 100 candles, and as a multiple of the average.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
CANDLE COLOURING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Grey candles: the market is ranging (ADX below its trend level and steepness flat)
• White candles on dark charts, or near-black on light charts: high-volume candles (busier than 90% of recent candles)
The chart theme is detected automatically.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
MULTI-ASSET
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The script auto-detects Indices, Forex, Metals and Crypto (shown in the footer) and applies a steepness scale for each class. You can override the choice in settings.

Symbols without volume data (some CFD and index feeds) switch automatically to a range-based activity reading, clearly labelled.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
REPAINTING
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Closed candles never change. Higher-timeframe values always use the last completed bar.

• Live mode (the default): readings move while the current candle forms.
• "Confirmed bars only": everything, including alerts, updates only when a candle closes.
For alerts in live mode, set the alert to "Once per bar close".

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
ALERTS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Indicators agree BULLISH / BEARISH
• Timeframe consensus BULLISH / BEARISH

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
SETTINGS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• Panel position (6 options) and size (Small / Normal / Large)
• Show or hide any row
• Every indicator's lengths and thresholds
• Consensus timeframes, and how many must agree
• Volume source, comparison length and HIGH / LOW levels
• Asset preset and steepness scale

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
HOW TO USE IT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Use the cockpit to stay on the right side of the trend and to spot when conditions line up: strong meters, high agreement, timeframes in consensus and supportive volume. Treat grey (ranging) periods with caution.

The panel describes current market conditions. It does not predict future price, and no combination of readings guarantees a result.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
LIMITATIONS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
• The buy/sell volume split is an estimate based on candle direction, not true order flow.
• Spot forex and metals use broker tick volume.
• Lower-timeframe readings rely on TradingView's intrabar data, which is limited to roughly 100,000 bars. Very old history may therefore read neutral.
