# HD Range + Active AOA v1.0
**HD Range + Active AOA v1.0 is an experimental market-structure indicator designed to help identify where price is currently finding agreement.**
The centerpiece is the **Active AOA — Active Area of Agreement**.
Rather than remaining fixed, the Active AOA continuously evaluates recent candle structure and migrates as the market establishes a new area of price acceptance. It is intended to be used as a **context and decision-support tool**, not as a standalone buy or sell signal.
The indicator also includes:
* **PDH — Previous Day High**
* **PDL — Previous Day Low**
* PDH/PDL calculated from the previous completed **9:30 AM–4:00 PM ET regular trading session**
* A dynamic Active AOA zone and center price
* Optional level labels and AOA zone fill
### Important
**This is a prototype.**
At the time of release, the Active AOA concept has not undergone formal backtesting or statistical validation. We have observed behavior that we believe may be useful, but observation is not proof.
That is why we are releasing it publicly.
Use it. Test it. Try to break it.
We are especially interested in feedback about:
* support/resistance behavior around the Active AOA
* reclaim and rejection behavior
* trend continuation
* returns toward the Active AOA after price becomes extended
* situations where the indicator becomes misleading or provides no useful information
Do not treat the Active AOA as a prediction or trading signal.
