Previous Day Close (Subtle)
A minimal, low-noise indicator that plots the previous day's closing price as a thin, semi-transparent dotted line on intraday charts.
Many traders use the previous day's close as a key reference level for gap analysis, intraday bias and support/resistance. This script keeps that level visible without cluttering the chart.

• Thin dotted line with adjustable color and transparency
• The line is drawn only during the current session, with no long lines stretching across the entire history
• Optional small "PDC" label on the latest bar
• Uses the daily close[1], so the level is fixed and does not repaint
• Works on any intraday timeframe and any symbol

HOW IT WORKS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The script requests the daily timeframe and reads the previous day's close. At the start of each new day a new line is created at that level and extended bar by bar until the day ends. Because it uses the confirmed close of the prior day, the value does not change once the day begins.

• Color: line color and transparency. Increase transparency for an even more discreet look.
• Show 'PDC' label: toggle the small label on or off.

NOTES

• Intraday only. On daily or higher timeframes the indicator draws nothing, since the timeframe itself already represents the daily close.
• "Previous day" follows the exchange session of the symbol you are viewing.
• This is a visual reference tool, not a trading signal. It does not provide buy or sell recommendations.

v1.1 - Line thickness option• New "Thickness" input (1 to 4) to adjust the line width from the indicator settings
• Default thickness increased from 1 to 2 for better readability
• Default line transparency reduced from 45 to 35, so the level stands out slightly more while staying discreet
• No changes to the calculation: the previous day's close is still fixed and does not repaint
