Apex Trend Ladder + Volume Nodes [Auto TP/SL]

APEX TREND LADDER + VOLUME NODES [AUTO TP/SL]

OVERVIEW
Apex Ladder puts three tools on one clean overlay:
  • A 5-line EMA "ladder" that shows trend direction and strength at a glance.
  • Volume Nodes on the right side of the chart (POC and High Volume Nodes).
  • Trend-filtered BUY/SELL signals with an automatic Stop Loss and three Take Profit levels drawn on the chart.

A live dashboard summarizes the trend state, signal statistics and the current POC.

WHY THESE PARTS TOGETHER?
Each part covers a gap in the others:
  • The ladder tells you which side to trade.
  • The volume and value filters help avoid signals in thin, low-conviction moves.
  • The volume nodes show where price has found acceptance, which is useful for judging targets and reaction zones.
  • The ATR-based SL/TP plan puts risk and reward on the chart before you enter.

HOW IT WORKS

1) Trend Ladder
Five EMAs are plotted, starting from the Base EMA length and increasing by the Ladder step. With the defaults the lengths are 8, 14, 20, 26 and 32.
  • Bullish: all five EMAs are stacked in order (fastest on top). The ribbon turns green.
  • Bearish: all five are stacked in the opposite order. The ribbon turns red.
  • Ranging: the EMAs are not aligned. The ribbon turns grey.

Bars can optionally be coloured with the trend state. A fanning ribbon means strong momentum. A compressed or grey ribbon means indecision.

2) Signals
A signal needs all of these conditions to be true:
  • The ladder is fully stacked in the signal direction.
  • Price crosses the second ladder line (EMA 2) in the trend direction.
  • Price is on the correct side of a volume-weighted moving average (the "value anchor", 100 by default).
  • Volume is above its 20-bar average times your multiplier (1.2 by default).
  • The bar is closed, so signals do not appear and disappear while a bar is forming.

3) Auto Risk Plan (SL + 3 TPs)
When a signal fires, the script draws:
  • Entry (dashed white line) at the signal bar close.
  • Stop Loss at entry ± ATR × multiplier (14 ATR and 1.5x by default).
  • TP1, TP2, TP3 at 1R, 2R and 3R (all adjustable), where R is the stop distance.

The levels extend forward as the trade develops. You can switch them off in the settings.

4) Volume Nodes
On the last bar the script builds a volume profile of the chosen lookback window (200 bars by default):
  • The range is split into rows (30 by default). Each row sums the volume of the bars whose typical price (HLC3) falls inside it.
  • POC (Point of Control): the row with the most volume, highlighted in yellow with a dotted line across the chart.
  • HVNs (High Volume Nodes): rows above a threshold (1.5x the average row by default), shown in blue.
  • All other rows are drawn in faint grey.

Price tends to react around high-volume areas, so they are useful for spotting possible support, resistance and targets.

5) Dashboard
  • Trend: bullish, bearish or ranging.
  • Signals: total signals generated on the loaded chart history.
  • Win rate / Net R: a simple signal tracker, explained below.
  • POC: the current Point of Control price.

HOW TO USE
  • Trade in the direction of the ribbon. Grey ribbons mean the trend filter is neutral.
  • Use the volume nodes as context. Targets and entries near a POC or HVN may behave differently from those in empty zones.
  • Tune Base EMA length, Ladder step and SL ATR multiplier for each market and timeframe.
  • Lower timeframes produce more signals and more noise. Higher timeframes produce fewer but cleaner signals.
  • Set alerts using the "Apex BUY" and "Apex SELL" alert conditions.

SETTINGS
  • Trend Ladder: base length, step, bull/bear colours.
  • Signals / Risk: minimum volume vs average, value anchor length, ATR length, SL multiplier, TP1/TP2/TP3 in R, toggle trade levels.
  • Volume Nodes: toggle, lookback bars, number of rows, HVN threshold, profile width, node and POC colours.
  • Dashboard: toggle.

IMPORTANT NOTES AND LIMITATIONS
  • This is not a full strategy backtest. The Win rate and Net R figures come from a simplified tracker. A trade counts as a win if TP1 is hit before the stop (credited at TP1) or if TP3 is reached. A stop hit before TP1 is a loss of 1R. It does not model commissions, slippage, position sizing or intrabar order of events. Treat it as a quick reference only.
  • The tracker follows one trade at a time. A new signal replaces the currently tracked trade.
  • Signals are generated on confirmed bar closes and do not repaint. The volume profile is recalculated on the latest bar, so it updates as new data arrives. This is normal for profile tools.
  • The volume profile needs volume data. On symbols with no volume it will not display.
  • Results depend on the market, timeframe and settings. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
