RPG Daily Wisdom

RPG Daily Wisdom puts one quote and a short word of encouragement on your chart each day, a reminder that you are more than your P&L.
WHAT IT SHOWS
A small card with three lines:
- The author and theme, e.g. Warren Buffett | Greed & Patience
- The quote, in quotation marks
- A short reflection written for that quote, meant for any day: winning, losing or not trading at all
120 quotes across four themes: Greed & Patience, Fear & Risk, Discipline & Ego, Work & Legacy. They come from investors and traders (Buffett, Munger, Graham, Seykota, Bogle), philosophers (Marcus Aurelius, Seneca, Epictetus, Confucius, Lao Tzu), business builders (Carnegie, Rockefeller, Ford, Jobs, Bezos) and athletes and coaches (Wooden, Jordan, Ali, Brady).
Every quote was checked against a sourced record: shareholder letters, the person's own books, public-domain texts and Wikiquote's sourced sections. Popular quotes that turned out to be misattributed were left out. Older philosophers use public-domain translations (George Long, Richard Gummere, James Legge).
HOW IT ROTATES
- Daily (default): everyone sees the same quote on the same day (New York time)
- Every session: changes with each trading session of the symbol
- Hourly: a new quote every hour
- Theme: show all themes, or only one
- Shuffle: click the up arrow for a random quote; each click gives a new one. Set it to 0 to return to the shared quote.
SETTINGS
Position (9 spots), text size, alignment, card width, bold/italic per line, colors for the background, border and each line, an optional highlight behind any line, and toggles for the theme emoji, theme name and quotation marks.
ALERT
Optional: create an alert on this indicator with the condition "Any alert() function call" to receive the quote when it changes.
This script does not analyse price and gives no trading signals. Quotes are reproduced briefly with attribution for commentary and encouragement.
