$CL: $80 Is Make-or-Break

Crude's rally from the lows into the $93 area was largely driven by a geopolitical risk premium. Supply disruption fears surrounding the Middle East, uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz, tighter inventories, and reduced exports pushed traders to aggressively price in supply risk.

Now that tensions have eased and some of that risk premium has been unwound, crude is retracing as traders rotate back to fundamentals. The rejection around $92-93 also aligns with a major supply zone, where sellers stepped in and momentum stalled.

Technically, is now sitting right on the $80 pivot. This is the level bulls need to defend. A hold here could produce a relief bounce back into the low-$90s, but the structure has clearly weakened after the lower high.

Breaking below $80 would likely send price straight into the $74-70 demand zone, the next area I'd expect buyers to step back in.
