AMD Pre-Earning Market Move
Ahead of AMD's earnings, my initial expectation was for price to extend into the $482 region before beginning a larger bearish move.
That scenario has not played out.
Instead of forcing my original bias, I'm going back to the chart to understand what the market is telling me now.
One of the most important principles in trading is this:
The market doesn't owe us our analysis. It only provides information.
When price fails to follow an expected path, that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it simply means new information has entered the market.
What Changed?
Rather than pushing into the premium area as expected, AMD has continued to trade within a tighter range while respecting short-term structure.
This tells me that liquidity has not yet been delivered in the way I originally anticipated.
At this point, I am no longer focused on proving my previous analysis correct.
My focus has shifted to identifying the market's next draw on liquidity. And with earnings approaching, I expect volatility to increase significantly.
So right now, Intraday is the best move to take here focusing on targeting AMD price reaching $531 today before earning report
