WHY I THINK (SO) SOUTHERN COMPANY WILL GOES UP IN 2026

Why I think Southern Company (SO) could perform well in 2026

Southern Company (SO) is a regulated power utility, and power supply is becoming an increasingly critical part of AI infrastructure.

As AI adoption accelerates, data centers and cloud providers are driving sustained growth in electricity demand. AI workloads require significantly more power than traditional computing, and this demand is structural rather than cyclical.

While GPU and semiconductor stocks such as NVDA and AMD have benefited strongly from AI, they are also highly volatile and sensitive to product cycles, competition, and valuation expectations. Price movements in these names can be difficult to manage due to sharp swings.

Instead of focusing solely on AI hardware producers, I prefer exposure to the underlying infrastructure that supports the entire ecosystem. Power utilities are positioned to benefit from long-term increases in electricity consumption driven by data centers, grid expansion, and reliability requirements.

Southern Company operates a large, regulated utility network with stable cash flows, long-term contracts, and ongoing investment in grid modernization and power generation. This makes it a more defensive way to participate in AI-driven growth trends.

Trade idea (for discussion):
Entry around 88.17
Target around 100.84

This is not financial advice, but my personal view based on long-term AI infrastructure demand.
