STI delivered exactly what traders wait months for: an explosive breakout from a prolonged downtrend. Momentum returned, liquidity was swept, and price quickly expanded into overhead resistance.
Now comes the difficult part.
Not the breakout...
The retest.
The current pullback is approaching a critical decision area. If buyers can defend the recent Break of Structure and establish a higher low, the broader bullish trend remains intact and the recent breakout could simply be the beginning of a much larger move.
However, if this level fails, I believe the market will seek liquidity much lower, with the $3.20-$3.70 demand zone becoming the most likely destination.
Bullish Scenario
Current support holds.
Buyers defend the BOS.
A higher low forms.
Price resumes its advance toward the overhead liquidity resting between $22 and $28.
Bearish Scenario
The breakout loses momentum.
Support fails.
Liquidity below becomes the next objective.
Price revisits the larger demand zone before attempting another expansion.
What I'm Watching
The breakout itself is no longer the trade.
The reaction is.
Markets often reward patience more than prediction. A successful retest would confirm institutional participation and increase the probability that the recent impulse wasn't simply short covering or FOMO buying.
Until then, this remains a battle between continuation and a deeper correction.
EQC follows the reaction.
The market decides whether this breakout becomes a new trend... or just another failed rally.
Hidden in plain sight. EQC.
