SMC Gold Helper: Dynamic FVG & Liquidity Sweeps
Description
This indicator is a specialized toolkit designed for SMC (Smart Money Concepts) traders, specifically optimized for high-volatility assets like Gold (XAUUSD) on the 4H timeframe. It automates the detection of Fair Value Gaps (FVG) and Liquidity Sweeps, with a unique "Dynamic Mitigation" feature.
Key Features:
Dynamic FVG Tracking: Unlike standard FVG indicators that stay fixed, this script tracks the vacant portion of a gap. If price partially fills a bullish FVG, the box shrinks to show only the remaining unfilled area. Once fully filled, the box changes color to signal mitigation.
Liquidity Sweep Detection: Automatically identifies Buy-Side Liquidity (BSL) and Sell-Side Liquidity (SSL) sweeps based on a customizable lookback period.
Market Structure Shift (MSS): Marks potential trend reversals (Stars) when price breaks structure immediately following a liquidity sweep.
How to Use (Tutorial)
1. Identifying the Setup
Look for a Liquidity Sweep (Triangle icons). This shows that "Big Money" has grabbed stop losses above an old high or below an old low.
2. The Entry (MSS)
Wait for the MSS (Star icon) to appear. This confirms that the market structure has shifted in your direction.
3. The Target / Re-entry (Dynamic FVG)
Vacant Zones: The Bright Green/Red boxes represent "Vacant" price action. These are your primary magnets for price.
Partial Fills: If a box shrinks, it means price has tested that level but hasn't fully cleared the orders yet. The "Vacant" area remains a high-probability zone for a bounce.
Mitigation: When a box turns Gray, the gap is "filled." Do not look for new entries in gray zones as the liquidity has been neutralized.
Settings
Sweep Lookback: Adjust how far back the script looks for major swing points (Default: 20).
FVG Colors: Customize the "Vacant" vs "Mitigated" colors to match your chart theme.
Extend Boxes: Choose how many bars into the future the FVG boxes should project.
