Liquidity Edge - Inversion FVG (IFVG) Radar PRO

OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

The Inversion Fair Value Gap (IFVG) & Imbalance Radar is an order-flow indicator dedicated to identifying, transitioning, and tracking failed imbalances that flip into support and resistance boundaries.

When an aggressive market impulse completely closes through a traditional Fair Value Gap, it demonstrates that one-sided order flow has shifted. Instead of disappearing, the violated imbalance frequently inverts: a bullish gap that failed becomes resistance, while a bearish gap that failed becomes support. This indicator manages this complete lifecycle in real-time.

CORE MECHANICS & ALGORITHMIC LOGIC

Primary Imbalance Detection • Identifies initial 3-candle Fair Value Gaps using standard price geometry:
Bullish Gap: Low[0] > High[2]
Bearish Gap: High[0] < Low[2] • Applies a customizable tick filter to eliminate insignificant spread noise.

The Inversion State-Machine Transition Unlike standard FVG indicators that delete a gap upon violation, this engine monitors candle body closure: • Bullish to Bearish Inversion: When a candle body closes strictly below the floor of an active Bullish FVG, the zone transitions into a Bearish Inversion FVG (IFVG). Former institutional support has now inverted into overhead resistance. • Bearish to Bullish Inversion: When a candle body closes strictly above the ceiling of an active Bearish FVG, the zone transitions into a Bullish Inversion FVG (IFVG). Former institutional resistance has now inverted into support below price.

Inversion Retest & Mitigation Lifecycle • Fresh Inversion: Highlighted with glassmorphism transparency, projecting forward to await a retest. • 50% Consequent Encroachment (CE): Draws the 50% equilibrium line: (Top + Bottom) / 2 across the inverted zone as a primary reaction target. • Mitigation / Deletion: When price retests the inverted zone and subsequently closes beyond it in the opposite direction, the zone is flagged as mitigated and removed from active memory.

HOW TO USE & TRADING APPLICATION

• Identifying Inversion Flips:

Identify an FVG created by an earlier move.
If a strong displacement move closes through the gap, observe the newly created IFVG zone.

• Trading the Retest:

Bullish IFVG (Support): Wait for price to pull back downward into the ceiling or 50% CE of the inverted bearish gap. Enter long on signs of rejection.
Bearish IFVG (Resistance): Wait for price to pull back upward into the floor or 50% CE of the inverted bullish gap. Enter short on signs of rejection.

• Stop-Loss Placement:

Place stop losses just beyond the opposing boundary of the Inversion FVG zone.

ORIGINALITY & UNIQUE FEATURES

• Automated Polarity Inversion: Seamless state-machine transition from standard imbalance to inversion support/resistance without manual redraws. • Glassmorphism Aesthetic: Rendered with high transparency (90% to 92% fill) so underlying price action and wicks remain fully visible. • Dynamic 50% CE Equilibrium: Automatically calculates and tracks the midpoint of the inverted structure.

TECHNICAL LIMITATIONS & DISCLAIMERS

• Chop / Range Behavior: In low-volatility, ranging markets, price may chop repeatedly through an imbalance, causing rapid polarity flips. Use the minimum tick filter and higher-timeframe trend context to filter choppy environments. • Platform Drawing Limits: Active boxes and midlines are capped at 500 drawing objects in compliance with TradingView limitations. • Analytical Tool Disclaimer: This tool is an analytical price-action overlay for market structure analysis and does not constitute financial advice or automated trading signals.
