Data Granularity
• 1-Tick / 1-Second / 1-Minute modes let you choose the resolution of every calculation. On true tick charts you get genuine tick-by-tick precision; on second charts you see every intra-second print; on anything else it falls back to minute bars.
Footprint Engine
Bid vs Ask Volume Columns – Each candle is sliced into tick-level price rows showing buy-volume, sell-volume, total volume, delta and delta%.
CVD-Level Columns – Optionally color each row by net cumulative delta instead of raw volume to spotlight buying or selling pressure trends.
Imbalance Detection – Highlight rows where one side exceeds your % threshold, with “stacked” imbalances calling out multi-row alignment ahead of potential breaks.
Value Area & POC – Automatically compute and draw the 70% value area (VAH/VAL) and mark the Point of Control per session or any chosen timeframe.
Footprint
The image above shows the volume profiling data calculated for each row across the footprint engine.
Delta: Shows the net difference between buying and selling
Delta Percentage: Calculates delta as a percentage of total volume
Total Volume: The total volume at the price block
Buy Volume: The total buying volume at the price block
Sell Volume: The total selling volume at the price block
Additionally, you can select to only show buying volume and selling volume at each price block, as shown in the image above.
POC
The image above shows the visuals used to mark the POC of the footprint. The POC is marked yellow by default; the color can be changed in the settings.
Value Area

Imbalance Detection
The image above shows the Footprint Engine detecting and marking buying/selling imbalances.
Stacked Imbalances
The image above shows the Footprint Engine detecting and marking stacked imbalances. Stacked imbalances are shown as consecutive, small blocks to the right of the footprint.
CVD Levels
The image above shows the footprint engine calculating CVD across the footprint, rather than net delta that resets bar by bar. Traders can enable the "Use CVD Levels" setting to have net delta persist across price bars, allowing traders to see the net CVD across various price blocks as the footprint develops.
Delta Class Statistics
With the inclusion of tick volume, The Delta Class Statistics component of the indicator classifies volume delta by order size to give traders detailed insights into whether small players are buying/selling and whether big players are buying/selling.

Orders are distributed (classified) across various order size amounts. From here, a rolling CVD is calculated across each order size. This feature gives traders detailed insights into whether big money is buying/selling (big player sentiment) and whether small money is buying/selling (small player sentiment).
Analysis
The image above shows a net-negative CVD for the session for both small orders (small money) and big orders (big money), while "medium" sized orders are currently at a net-positive CVD.
Consequently, sentiment for big players is bearish.
Additionally, small triangles are printed alongside each Delta Class box for each bar. You can hover over these labels with your cursor to see the net delta for the bar for each order size.
Bar Delta Statistics
With the inclusion of tick data, OrderFlow IQ is designed to generate detailed tick-based bar statistics for each candlestick.

Iceberg Detection (Tick-Data Only)
An Iceberg Order is a type of large trading order that is broken up into much smaller visible portions. Only a small part of the order is displayed in the public order book at any given time, while the rest is hidden (like an iceberg where only the tip is above water).
Why are Iceberg Orders Important?
Minimizing Market Impact
If a trader were to post a 10,000-share sell order openly, the market would immediately react:
Buyers might panic, thinking there's a rush to sell.
Sellers could undercut the price aggressively.
This would likely drive the price down before the large order even finishes executing.
By revealing only a small portion at a time, Iceberg orders help avoid spooking the market and allow the trader to sell closer to the original price.
Hiding Trading Intentions
Markets are highly sensitive to order flow — the balance of buying and selling pressure.
If competitors, market makers, or algorithmic traders see a massive order, they might:
Front-run it (selling before it completes to profit from the expected price drop).
Reassess their own models about supply/demand imbalances.
Iceberg orders protect against this by masking true supply or demand.
Our Iceberg Detection Model
Using a proprietary iceberg order detection algorithm, OrderFlow IQ is capable of detecting/alerting iceberg orders when they occur.

When an iceberg order is identified, the size of the order in the quote currency, price of execution, and number of executions will be displayed.
It's important to set alerts for this feature, as iceberg orders aren't frequent and are easy to miss when away from the chart.
IQ Volume Profile (Chronicled Volume Profile)
OrderFlow IQ generates a Chronicled Volume Profile to give traders detailed insights into net delta by price level, but also historical net delta by price level.
The image above shows the feature in action. While the chronicled volume profile is seemingly a normal volume profile, the narrow-lines across the chronicle profile show historical min/max delta at each price level.
The image above exemplifies the feature.
The wide price blocks show the current net delta at each price area, while the small lines (with a circle at the end) show historical min/max delta at the price level.
This tool allows traders to see if buying/selling always dominated a price level, or if control of the price level changed hands between buyers/sellers throughout development of the profile.
Additionally, traders can hover over the small circles on the profile with their cursor to see the detailed delta statistics at each price area. The statistics will show the minimum delta at the price area, maximum delta, and the live change in delta.
Order Feed
OrderFlow IQ is capable of generating a live order feed with various metrics to assist real time orderflow traders in their analysis.

OrderFlow Bubble Tape
OrderFlow IQ also displays a traditional orderflow indicator, also known as OrderFlow Bubble Tape.

Orderflow Bubble Tape is a visual tool that shows recent market trades ("tape") as bubbles, where each bubble represents a trade.
The size of each bubble indicates the trade size (volume), and the color shows whether the trade was a buy (aggressive at the ask) or sell (aggressive at the bid).
Instead of showing trades as plain text (like a traditional tape), the bubble format makes it easier to spot bursts of aggressive buying or selling visually.
Clusters of large, fast bubbles in one color suggest momentum or imbalances in order flow, often signaling short-term price pressure.
Traders use Bubble Tape to quickly read supply/demand dynamics, identify hidden buyers/sellers (like iceberg orders), and anticipate short-term price moves.
Blue Bubble = Buy
Red Bubble = Sell
The larger the bubble, the larger the order. Traders can hover over each bubble with their cursor to see the exact size of the order.
Delta Class Lines
OrderFlow IQ shows Live Delta Class Lines grouped by order size buckets:
The blue line shows delta coming only from very large orders (100K–10B in size).
The red line shows delta coming from medium-large orders (50K–100K size).
The green line shows delta from small to medium orders (0–50K size).
Each line is the cumulative net delta for its class — meaning it is adding the buy and sell imbalances only from trades of that size class, live as trades occur.
For example, when a 30K-sized aggressive buy hits, it adds to the green line; if a 70K-sized sell hits, it subtracts from the red line.
The number next to each label is the current net delta value for that class, telling you whether buyers or sellers are dominating at that order size.
• Three Custom Dollar Brackets – Define “small,” “mid,” and “block” trade-size ranges (e.g., 0–50 K, 50 K–100 K, > 100 K).
• Live Streaming Lines – While a bar is forming, watch real-time totals for each bracket plotted as vertical columns or stair-step lines on the chart edge.
CVD
OrderFlow IQ also displays CVD as either candles or a line.
The image above shows the candles visualization for CVD. CVD can be calculated using tick data, 1-second bars, or 1-minute bars. The higher the granularity the more accurate the measurement.

In short, if a lot of short positions are liquidated simultaneously, an upside liquidation cascade can occur. During an upside liquidation cascade, price will increase intensely to the upside with high volatility.
If a lot of long positions are liquidated simultaneously, a downside liquidation cascade can occur. During a downside liquidation cascade, price will decrease intensely to the downside with high volatility.
Knowing where these liquidation cascades can occur is invaluable information for crypto traders.
What IQ Liquidation Heatmap Does
IQ Liquidation Heatmap visually maps price levels that have seen or may see liquidation cascades. In plain terms, it shows you where many stop-losses or leveraged positions have been triggered in the past and where similar events can occur in the future. By highlighting these zones, the indicator helps you understand areas of market stress that could lead to rapid price movements.
The image above shows a historical liquidation cascade occurring. Clustered bubbles show large amounts of liquidations occurring - the more bubbles and the brighter they are, the stronger the liquidation cascade. During a liquidation cascade, there is a higher chance that a strong downtrend or uptrend will continue.
Current Liquidation Levels
The image above explains current liquidation levels.
Current liquidations levels are price areas where a large number of positions will be liquidated. If a liquidation level is above the current price, then it is considered a price zone where shorts will be liquidated. If a liquidation level is below the current price, then it is considered a price zone where longs will be liquidated.
In this image, bright green levels represent price areas where the highest amount of positions will be liquidated, while dark purple levels represent price areas where the lowest amount of positions will be liquidated.
An active (current) liquidation level will extend to the right beyond the current price because they have not yet been hit.
When strong liquidation levels (green - bright green) are hit and are above price, it is expected that an upside liquidation cascade will occur. When strong liquidations are hit and are below price, it is expected that a downside liquidation cascade will occur.
Historical Liquidation Levels
The image above explains historical liquidation levels.
Historical liquidation levels stop at the bar where they are hit, so you can see how price responded to hitting a key liquidation level.
In this image, bright green levels represent price areas where the highest amount of positions will be liquidated, while dark purple levels represent price areas where the lowest amount of positions will be liquidated.
If price moves up into a liquidation level, then shorts are being liquidated. If price moves down into a liquidation level, then longs are being liquidated. In the image, we can see that when bright green liquidation levels were hit - a liquidation cascade occurred. During this cascade, price continued to move strongly to the downside with high volatility.
During the uptrend after the downtrend, we can see some bright green liquidation levels were also hit - causing an upside liquidation cascade that resulted in strong, volatile upside price moves.
Gradient Bar
The image above explains the liquidations gradient bar.
The bar located on the right of your chart shows what colors correspond to low, medium, and high liquidation levels.
In this image, bright green means the liquidation level is strong, while dark purple means the liquidation level is weak. By extension, we would expect liquidation cascades or strong price moves to more likely occur when a cluster of bright green liquidation zones are hit. Additionally, we would expect a small reaction (or no reaction at all) when dark purple liquidation zones are hit.
Colors are customizable.
Liquidation Cluster Bar
The image above explains the liquidation cluster bar.
The liquidation cluster bar aggregates liquidation zones and shows the approximate price areas where the highest number of liquidation points are located.
In this image, the green portion of the bar represents where the largest number of traders will be liquidated in aggregate. While the purple portions of the bar shows where the smallest number of traders will be liquidated in aggregate.
This bar is useful for clustering liquidations zones across larger price areas to see where the highest number of traders are likely to be liquidated.

How It Works
Reversal IQ operates on a straightforward heuristic: go long during an extended downside move and go short during an extended upside move.
What defines an "extended move" is determined by IQ Technology, TradingIQ's exclusive AI algorithm. For Reversal IQ, the algorithm assesses the extent to which historical high and low prices are breached. By learning from these price level violations, Reversal IQ adapts to trade future, similar violations in a recurring manner. It calculates a price area, distant from the current price, where a reversal is anticipated.
In simple terms, price peaks (tops) and troughs (bottoms) are stored for Reversal IQ to learn from. The degree to which these levels are violated by subsequent price movements is also recorded. Reversal IQ continuously evaluates this stored data, adapting to market volatility and raw price fluctuations to better capture price reversals.
What classifies as a price top or price bottom?
For Reversal IQ, price tops are considered the highest price attained before a significant downside reversal. Price bottoms are considered the lowest price attained before a significant upside reversal. The highest price achieved is continuously calculated before a significant counter trend price move renders the high price as a swing high. The lowest price achieved is continuously calculated before a significant counter trend price move renders the low price as a swing low.

The blue lower line represents the Long Reversal Level, with the price highlighted in blue showing the Long Reversal Price.

Limit orders are placed at both of these levels. As soon as either level is touched, a trade is immediately executed.

IQMA
The IQMA implements a dynamic moving average that adapts to market conditions by adjusting its smoothing factor based on its own slope. This makes it more responsive in volatile conditions (steeper slopes) and smoother in less volatile conditions.
The IQMA is not used by Reversal IQ as a trade condition; however, the IQMA can be used by traders to characterize the overarching trend and elect to trade only long positions during bullish conditions and only short positions during bearish conditions.
The IQMA is an adaptive smoothing function that applies a combination of multiple moving averages to reduce lag and noise in the data. The adaptiveness is achieved by dynamically adjusting the Volatility Factor (VF) based on the slope (derivative) of the price trend, making it more responsive to strong trends and smoother in consolidating markets.
This process effectively makes the moving average a self-adjusting filter, the IQMA attempts to track both trending and ranging market conditions by dynamically changing its sensitivity in response to price movements.
When IQMA is blue, an overarching uptrend is in place. When IQMA is red, an overarching downtrend is in place.
IQ Candles
IQ Candles are price candles color-coordinated with IQMA. IQ Candles help visualize the overarching trend and are not used by Reversal IQ to determine trade entries and trade exits.
AI Aggressiveness
Reversal IQ has only one setting that controls its functionality.
AI Aggressiveness controls the aggressiveness of the AI. This setting has three options: Sniper, Aggressive, and Very Aggressive.
Sniper Mode
In Sniper Mode, Reversal IQ will prioritize trading large deviations from established reversal levels and extracting the largest countertrend move possible from them.
Aggressive Mode
In Aggressive Mode, Reversal IQ still prioritizes quality but allows for strong, quantity-based signals. More trades will be executed in this mode with tighter stops and profit targets. Aggressive mode forces Reversal IQ to learn from narrower raw-dollar violations of historical levels.
Very Aggressive Mode
In Very Aggressive Mode, Reversal IQ still prioritizes the strongest quantity-based signals. Stop and target distances aren't inherently affected, but entries will be aggressive while prioritizing performance. Very Aggressive mode forces Reversal IQ to learn from narrower raw-dollar violations of historical levels and also forces it to embrace volatility more aggressively.
AI Direction
The AI Direction setting controls the trade direction Reversal IQ is allowed to take.
“Both” allows for both long and short trades.
“Long” allows for only long trades.
“Short” allows for only short trades.
Verifying Reversal IQ’s Effectiveness
Reversal IQ automatically tracks its performance and displays the profit factor for the long strategy and the short strategy it uses. This information can be found in a table located in the top-right corner of your chart.

A profit factor greater than 1 indicates a strategy profitably traded historical price data.
A profit factor less than 1 indicates a strategy unprofitably traded historical price data.
A profit factor equal to 1 indicates a strategy did not lose or gain money when trading historical price data.
Using Reversal IQ

Once the price breaks and closes above this level, a long position is initiated.
After entering a long position, Impulse IQ immediately displays the initial fixed stop price. As the price moves favorably for the long position, the trailing stop conversion level is reached, and the indicator switches to a trailing stop, as shown in the image. Strike Channel
The Strike Channel represents what Counter Strike IQ considers a tradable long opportunity or a tradable short opportunity. The Strike Channel is dynamic and adjusts from chart to chart.

How It Works
Counter Strike IQ operates on a straightforward heuristic: go long during significant upside price moves that break established resistance levels and go short during significant downside price moves that break established support levels.
IQ Technology, TradingIQ's proprietary AI algorithm, defines what constitutes a “significant price move” and what’s considered a tradable breakout. For Counter Strike IQ, this algorithm evaluates all historical support/resistance breaks and any subsequent breakouts. For instance, the price move following up to a breakout is measured and learned from, including the significance of the identified support/resistance level (how long it’s been active, how far price moved away from it, etc). By analyzing these patterns, Counter Strike IQ adapts to identify and trade similar future breakout sequences.
In simple terms, Counter Strike IQ learns from violations of historical support/resistance levels to identify potential entry points at currently established support/resistance levels. Using this knowledge, it determines the optimal, current support/resistance price level where a breakout has a higher chance of occurring.
For long positions, Counter Strike IQ places a stop-market order at the AI-identified resistance point. If price violates this level a market order will be placed and a long position entered. Of course, this is how the algorithm trades, users can elect to use a stop-limit order amongst other order types for position entry. After the position is entered TP1 is placed (identifiable on the price chart). TP1 has a twofold purpose:
Acts as a legitimate profit target to exit 50% of the position.
Once TP1 is closed over, the initial stop loss is converted to a trailing stop, and the long position remains active so long as price continues to uptrend.
For short positions, Counter Strike IQ places a stop-market order at the AI-identified support point. If price violates this level a market order will be placed and a short position entered. Again, this is how the algorithm trades, users can elect to use a stop-limit order amongst other order types for position entry. Upon entry TP1 is placed (identifiable on the price chart). TP1 has a twofold purpose:
Acts as a legitimate profit target to exit 50% of the position.
Once TP1 is closed over, the initial stop loss is converted to a trailing stop, and the short position remains active so long as price continues to downtrend.
As a trading system, Counter Strike IQ exits TP1 using a limit order, with all stop losses exited as stop market orders.
What Classifies As a Tradable Upside Breakout or Tradable Downside Breakout?
For Counter Strike IQ, tradable price breakouts are not manually set but are instead learned by the system. What qualifies as a significant upside or downside breakout in one market might not hold the same significance in another. Counter Strike IQ continuously analyzes historical and current support/resistance levels, how far price has extended from those levels, the raw-dollar price move leading up to a violation of those levels, their longevity, and more, to determine which future levels have a higher chance of breaking out when retested!

Any price between the two deviation points is considered “Acceptable”.

IQ Gradient Graph
The IQ Gradient Graph provides a macro characterization of extreme prices.
The lower macro extremity of the IQ Gradient Graph is colored green, while the upper macro extremity is colored red.
Minimum Profit Target And Stop Loss
The Minimum ATR Profit Target and Minimum ATR Stop Loss setting control the minimum allowed profit target and stop loss distance. On most timeframes users won’t have to alter these settings; however, on very-low timeframes such as the 1-minute chart, users can increase these values so gross profits exceed commission.
After changing either setting, Counter Strike IQ will retrain on historical data - accounting for the newly defined minimum profit target or stop loss.
AI Direction
The AI Direction setting controls the trade direction Counter Strike IQ is allowed to take.
“Trade Longs” allows for long trades.
“Trade Shorts” allows for short trades.
EMA Filter
The EMA Filter setting controls whether the AI should implement an EMA trading filter. Simply, if the EMA Filter is active, long trades can only initiate if price is trading above the user-defined EMA. Conversely, short trades can only initiate if price is trading below the user-defined EMA.

Verifying Counter Strike IQ’s Effectiveness
Counter Strike IQ automatically tracks its performance and displays the profit factor for the long strategy and the short strategy it uses. This information can be found in the table located in the top-right corner of your chart showing.

A profit factor greater than 1 indicates a strategy profitably traded historical price data.

Using Counter Strike IQ
While Counter Strike IQ is a full-fledged trading system with entries and exits - manual traders can certainly make use of its on chart indications and visualizations.
The hallmark feature of Counter Strike IQ is its ability to signal a breakout near its origin point. Long entries are often signaled near the start of a large upside price move; short entries are often signaled near the start of a large downside price move.
For live analysis, the Strike Channel serves as a valuable tool for identifying breakout points.
The further price moves toward the Upside Breakout Point (green), the stronger the indication that price might breakout to the upside. Conversely, the deeper price reaches toward the Downside Breakout Point (red), the stronger the indication that price might breakout to the downside.
Of course, should buying or selling pressure stall, price may fail to breakout at the identified breakout level. This is a natural consequence of any breakout trading strategy!

How It Works
Nova IQ operates on a simple heuristic: scalp long during micro downside overextensions and short during micro upside overextensions.
What constitutes an "overextension" is defined by IQ Technology, TradingIQ's proprietary AI algorithm. For Nova IQ, this algorithm evaluates the typical extent of micro overextensions before a reversal occurs. As a trading system, Nova IQ enters all positions using market orders at the bar’s close. Each trade is exited with a profit-taking limit order and a stop-loss order. What classifies as a tradable overextension?
For Nova IQ, tradable overextensions are not manually set but are learned by the system. Nova IQ utilizes NOSC to identify and classify micro overextensions. By analyzing multiple variations of NOSC, along with its consistency in signaling overextensions and its tendency to remain in extreme zones, Nova IQ dynamically adjusts NOSC to determine what constitutes overextension territory for the indicator.
When NOSC reaches the downside overextension zone, long trades become eligible for entry. Conversely, when NOSC reaches the upside overextension zone, short trades become eligible for entry.

These bands adaptively smooth the price to identify potential trend retracement opportunities.
The image above illustrates how to interpret NBANDS. While NOSC focuses on identifying micro overextensions, NBANDS is designed to capture larger price overextensions. As a result, the two indicators complement each other well and can be effectively used together to identify a broader range of price overextensions in the market.
While the Nova Bands are not part of the core heuristic and do not use IQ technology, they provide valuable insights for discretionary traders looking to refine their strategies.
Use HTF (Use Higher Timeframe) Setting
Nova IQ has only one setting that controls its functionality.
“Use HTF” controls whether the AI uses a higher timeframe trading filter. This setting can be true or false. If true, the trader must select the higher timeframe to implement.
No Higher TF Filter
Nova IQ operates with standard aggression when the higher timeframe setting is turned off. In this mode, it exclusively learns from the price data of the current chart, allowing it to trade more aggressively without the influence of a higher timeframe filter.
Higher TF Filter
Nova IQ demonstrates reduced aggression when the "Use HTF" (Higher Timeframe) setting is enabled. In this mode, Nova IQ learns from both the current chart's data and the selected higher timeframe data, factoring in the higher timeframe trend when seeking scalping opportunities. As a result, trading opportunities only arise when both the higher timeframe and the chart's timeframe simultaneously display overextensions, making this mode more selective in its entries.
In this mode, Nova IQ calculates NOSC on the higher timeframe, learns from the corresponding price data, and applies the same rules to NOSC as it does for the current chart's timeframe. This ensures that Nova IQ consistently evaluates overextensions across both timeframes, maintaining its trading logic while incorporating higher timeframe insights.

FSML above +20 confirms sustained upside momentum — the market is being driven by consistent, broad-based buying pressure, not just a price spike.

🔷 Half Shift Oscillator (HSO)

The HSO is the FSO’s wingman — faster, more reactive, and designed to catch the earliest signs of strength, weakness, or momentum shifts.
While HSO reacts first, it is not a standalone confirmation of a major momentum change or trade-worthy strength.
Using the same proprietary formula as the FSO but scaled down, the HSO delivers smooth, balanced short-term momentum analysis. It is more responsive than the FSO, serving as the scout that spots potential setups before the main signal confirms.
The Key Upside Level for the FSO is +4, while the Key Downside Level is -4.
🔷 PlayBook Strategy: Shift Sync
Shift Sync is a momentum alignment play that triggers when short-term and mid-term momentum lock into the same direction, signaling strong directional control.
🔹 UpShift Sync – Bullish Alignment
HSO > +4 – Short-term momentum is firmly bullish.
FSO > +20 – Mid-term momentum confirms the bullish bias.
When both thresholds are met, buyers are in control and price is primed for continuation higher.
🔹 DownShift Sync – Bearish Alignment
HSO < -4 – Short-term momentum is firmly bearish.
FSO < -20 – Mid-term momentum confirms the bearish bias.
When both thresholds are met, sellers dominate and price is primed for continuation lower.
Execution:
Look for an entry opportunity in the direction of the alignment when conditions are met.
Avoid choppy conditions where alignment is frequently lost.
Why It Works
Think of the market as a tug-of-war between traders on different timeframes. Short-term traders (captured by the HSO) are quick movers — scalpers, intraday players, and algos hunting immediate edge. Common Mistakes
Chasing late signals – Avoid entering if the Shift Sync trigger has been active for a long time. Instead, wait for a Shift Sync Pullback to look for opportunities to join in the direction of the trend.
Ignoring higher timeframe bias – Taking Shift Sync setups against the daily, weekly, or monthly trend reduces follow-through potential and increases the risk of a failed move.
🔷 Micro Shift Oscillator (MSO)

The MSO is the finishing touch to the FSO and HSO — the fastest and most reactive of the three. It’s built to spot pullback opportunities when the FSO and HSO are aligned, helping traders join strong price moves at the right time.
The MSO may reveal the earliest signs of a momentum shift, but that’s not its primary role. Its purpose is to identify retracement and pullback opportunities within the overarching trend, allowing traders to join the move while momentum remains intact.

Momentum Confirmation:
FSO < -20 – Mid-term momentum is strongly bearish.

MSO ≥ +3 – Indicates a short-term retracement against the bearish trend, pointing to possible short-entry opportunities.

The purple arrow on the top chart marks valid pullback conditions — all three oscillators meet their bearish thresholds, and price is positioned to continue lower.
Setup Validity: Both FSO and HSO must remain below their bearish thresholds during the pullback.

Why It Works

UpShift Gates mark the highest price reached during periods when the FSO is above +20 — moments when mid-term momentum is firmly bullish and buyers are in control.

How It Works
Razor IQ operates on a straightforward heuristic: go long during the retracement of significant upside price moves and go short during the retracement of significant downside price moves.
IQ Technology, TradingIQ's proprietary AI algorithm, defines what constitutes a “trend” and a “retracement” and what’s considered a tradable dip buying/shorting opportunity. For Razor IQ, this algorithm evaluates all historical trends and retracements, how much trends generally retrace and how long trends generally persist. For instance, the "dip" following an uptrend is measured and learned from, including the significance of the identified trend level (how long it has been active, how much price has increased, etc). By analyzing these patterns, Razor IQ adapts to identify and trade similar future retracements and trends.
In simple terms, Razor IQ clusters previous trend and retracement data in an attempt to trade similar price sequences when they repeat in the future. Using this knowledge, it determines the optimal, current price level where joining in the current trend (during a retracement) has a calculated chance of not stopping out before trend continuation.
For long positions, Razor IQ enters using a market order at the AI-identified long entry price point. If price closes beneath this level a market order will be placed and a long position entered. Of course, this is how the algorithm trades, users can elect to use a stop-limit order amongst other order types for position entry. After the position is entered TP1 is placed (identifiable on the price chart). TP1 has a twofold purpose:
Acts as a legitimate profit target to exit 50% of the position.
Once TP1 is achieved, a stop-loss order is immediately placed at breakeven, and a trailing stop loss controls the remainder of the trade. With this, so long as TP1 is achieved, the position will not endure a loss. So long as price continues to uptrend, Razor IQ will remain in the position.
For short positions, Razor IQ provides an AI-identified short entry level. If price closes above this level a market order will be placed and a short position entered. Again, this is how the algorithm trades, users can elect to use a stop-limit order amongst other order types for position entry. Upon entry Razor IQ implements a TP order and SL order (identifiable on the price chart).
Downtrends, in most markets, usually operate differently than uptrends. With uptrends, price usually increases at a modest pace with consistency over an extended period of time. Downtrends behave in an opposite manner - price decreases rapidly for a much shorter duration.
With this observation, the long dip entry heuristic differs slightly from the short dip entry heuristic.
The long dip entry heuristic specializes in identifying larger, long-term uptrends and entering on retracement of the uptrends. With a dedicated trailing stop loss, so long as the uptrend persists, Razor IQ will remain in the position.
The short dip entry heuristic specializes in identifying sharp, significant downside price moves, and entering short on upside volatility during these moves. A fixed stop loss and profit target are implemented for short positions - no trailing stop is used.
As a trading system, Razor IQ exits all TP orders using a limit order, with all stop losses exited as stop market orders.

Razor IQ continuously analyzes historical and current trends (if one exists), how far price has moved during the trend, the duration of the trend, the raw-dollar price move of price dips during trends, and more, to determine which future price retracements offer a smart chance to join in any current price trend.

The green line represents the Long Retracement Entry Point.
The blue upper line represents the first profit target for the trade.
The blue lower line represents the trailing stop loss start point for the long position.
The position is entered once price closes below the green line.
The green Razor Lazor long entry point will only appear during uptrends.

Green arrows indicate that the strategy entered a long position at the highlighted price level.
Blue arrows indicate that the strategy exited a position, whether at TP1, the initial stop loss, or at the trailing stop.
Blue lines above the entry price indicate the TP1 level for the current long trade. Blue lines below the current price indicate the initial stop loss price.
If price reaches TP1, a stop loss will be immediately placed at breakeven, and the in-built trailing stop will determine the future exit price.
A blue line (similar to the blue line shown for TP1) will trail price and correspond to the trailing stop price of the trade.
If the trailing stop is above the breakeven stop loss, then the trailing stop will be hit before the breakeven stop loss, which means the remainder of the trade will be exited at a profit.
If the breakeven stop loss is above the trailing stop, then the breakeven stop loss will be hit first. In this case, the remainder of the position will be exited at breakeven.

When a downtrend is active, Razor IQ will switch to "short mode". In short mode, Razor IQ will display a neon red line. This neon red line indicates the Razor Lazor short entry point. When price closes above the red Razor Lazor line a short position is entered.

Short traders do not utilize a trailing stop - only a fixed profit target and fixed stop loss are used.

Minimum Profit Target And Stop Loss
The Minimum ATR Profit Target and Minimum ATR Stop Loss setting control the minimum allowed profit target and stop loss distance. On most timeframes users won’t have to alter these settings; however, on very-low timeframes such as the 1-minute chart, users can increase these values so gross profits exceed commission.
After changing either setting, Razor IQ will retrain on historical data - accounting for the newly defined minimum profit target or stop loss.
AI Direction
The AI Direction setting controls the trade direction Razor IQ is allowed to take.
“Trade Longs” allows for long trades.
“Trade Shorts” allows for short trades.
Verifying Razor IQ’s Effectiveness
Razor IQ automatically tracks its performance and displays the profit factor for the long strategy and the short strategy it uses. This information can be found in the table located in the top-right corner of your chart showing.

A profit factor greater than 1 indicates a strategy profitably traded historical price data.
A profit factor less than 1 indicates a strategy unprofitably traded historical price data.
A profit factor equal to 1 indicates a strategy did not lose or gain money when trading historical price data.
Using Razor IQ
While Razor IQ is a full-fledged trading system with entries and exits - manual traders can certainly make use of its on chart indications and visualizations.
The hallmark feature of Razor IQ is its ability to signal an acceptable dip entry opportunity - for both uptrends and downtrends. Long entries are often signaled near the bottom of a retracement for an uptrend; short entries are often signaled near the top of a retracement for a downtrend.
Razor IQ will always operate on exact price levels; however, users can certainly take advantage of Razor IQ's trend identification mechanism and retracement identification mechanism to use as confluence with their personally crafted trading strategy.
Of course, every trend will reverse at some point, and a good dip buying/shorting strategy will often trade the reversal in expectation of the prior trend continuing (retracement). It's important not to aggressively filter retracement entries in hopes of avoiding an entry when a trend reversal finally occurs, as this will ultimately filter out good dip buying/shorting opportunities. This is a reality of any dip trading strategy - not just Razor IQ.
