Trading Basics Ep.15 — Inducement Explained

89
Inducement is a market behavior that encourages traders to enter positions too early, often before the real move begins.

It is commonly used to create liquidity by attracting buyers or sellers into the market.

WHAT IS BULLISH INDUCEMENT?

A Bullish Inducement occurs when price creates a temporary bullish move, encouraging traders to buy before reversing or sweeping liquidity.

This often traps late buyers before the actual market move.

Bullish Inducement = Trap for Buyers

WHAT IS BEARISH INDUCEMENT?

A Bearish Inducement occurs when price creates a temporary bearish move, encouraging traders to sell before reversing or sweeping liquidity.

This often traps late sellers before the actual market move.

Bearish Inducement = Trap for Sellers

HOW TO IDENTIFY INDUCEMENT

A high-quality Inducement often includes:

✓ Equal highs or equal lows

✓ Obvious support or resistance levels

✓ Temporary breakout

✓ Liquidity Sweep

✓ BOS or CHoCH after the trap

WHY IS INDUCEMENT IMPORTANT?

✓ Recognize market traps

✓ Avoid emotional entries

✓ Understand institutional behavior

✓ Improve entry timing

✓ Increase trading confidence

COMMON MISTAKES

❌ Chasing every breakout

❌ Ignoring liquidity

❌ Trading without confirmation

❌ Entering before the trap is complete

❌ Ignoring higher timeframe analysis

SIMPLE IDEA

Not every breakout is the beginning of a new trend.

Sometimes the market first creates a false move to attract traders and collect liquidity before moving in the intended direction.

Understanding Inducement helps traders avoid common traps and wait for higher-probability setups.

For the best results, combine Inducement with Liquidity Sweeps, Order Blocks, FVG, BOS, CHoCH, and Premium & Discount.
