ATK/DEF RSI Context is a multi-timeframe RSI context framework developed by ATK/DEF, designed to organize RSI information across LTF, MTF and HTF layers within a unified market-observation structure.This is not simply a conventional RSI displayed across multiple timeframes.
The core design combines multiple timeframe contexts and converts their RSI states into a unified analytical view, allowing the use to observe how momentum conditions are distributed across different timeframe layers.
Multi-Timeframe Context Architecture
The framework uses three timeframe layers:
LTF — Lower Timeframe Context
MTF — Middle Timeframe Context
HTF — Higher Timeframe Context
Each layer can contain independently selected timeframes.
The framework supports up to six configurable timeframe references:
LTF 1 → LTF 2 → MTF 1 → MTF 2 → HTF 1 → HTF 2
This creates a layered timeframe structure rather than relying on a multi chart timeframe.
The selected timeframes can be adapted to the market and chart environment being observed.
RSI Context Processing
RSI values are calculated independently for each selected timeframe.
Instead of treating one RSI reading as the complete market condition, the framework preserves each timeframe's individual RSI context and displays them together.
This makes it possible to observe:
LTF Momentum Context
MTF Momentum Context
HTF Momentum Context
within the same analytical structure.
The purpose is to show how momentum conditions are distributed between different timeframe layers rather than focusing on a single RSI value.
Multi-Timeframe Composite
The active timeframe RSI values are combined into a Multi-Timeframe Composite RSI.
The composite value represents the average RSI condition of the enabled timeframe layers.
This creates an additional summary layer above the individual timeframe readings:
Individual Timeframe RSI → Multi-Timeframe Context → Composite RSI
The composite value is therefore not a replacement for the individual timeframe information. It provides an additional consolidated representation of the enabled timeframe environment.
RSI State Classification
The framework divides RSI conditions into several contextual zones:
Extreme Overbought
Overbought / Strong
Neutral / Consolidation
Oversold / Weak
Extreme Oversold
These classifications are represented through the dashboard and heatmap so that changes in RSI context can be observed directly across the selected timeframe structure.
The thresholds are configurable and are not fixed as a universal market standard.
Multi-Timeframe Heatmap
The dashboard provides a visual heatmap containing:
Timeframe Layer | Timeframe | RSI Value | Heat State
Each active timeframe receives its own RSI reading and corresponding contextual state.
The heatmap allows the different timeframe conditions to be compared within a sin visual structure.
This makes differences between timeframe layers immediately visible, including situations where different timeframe contexts display different RSI states.
Context Alignment and Divergence
Because each timeframe is calculated independently, the framework can also reveal relationships between timeframe layers.
For example, the displayed context may show:
LTF → stronger condition
MTF → neutral condition
HTF → weaker condition
or the opposite configuration.
These differences are part of the information provided by the framework.
The purpose is not to reduce all timeframe information into a single directional interpretation, but to preserve the relationship between different timeframe contexts.
Configurable Timeframe Structure
Each LTF, MTF and HTF reference can be enabled or disabled independently.
This allows the timeframe architecture to be adapted to different chart environments and analytical frameworks.
The use determines which timeframe hierarchy is relevant to the market being observed.
