[blackcat] L3 Whale Sniper

19 239
Level: 3

Background

This indicator is my attempt to sniper whale fund in short-mid time frame.

Function

The major part of this indicator is a novel trend oscillator which can use to detected oversold and overbought. With this kind of feature, a whale sniper model can be built for the condtion is after a panic rolling off of price into oversold zone, a sniper zone may happen in advance of whale fund. The yellow color zone is the whale sniper zone indicator, along with a standard long position set up zone with lime color background color. NOTE: when yellow and lime color overlay which indicates a resonance happens. This is a kind of signal with higher confidence level of buy!

Inputs

Sinper Factor --> Default 5.

Key Signal

Trend --> trend oscillator output
Trend(1) --> trigger sgnal for trend ocillator
Yellow bgcolor --> whale sniper zone
Lime bgcolor --> standard long oppotunity zone

Remarks

This is a Level 3 free and open source indicator.

Feedbacks are appreciated.

OVERVIEW
The [blackcat] L3 Whale Sniper is an advanced technical analysis tool designed to identify potential buying and selling opportunities by tracking significant market movements often associated with large trades ("whales"). This indicator uses custom algorithms to plot key levels and zones on the chart, helping traders make informed decisions. It provides clear visual cues and alerts for better timing of entries and exits 🐳💰.

FEATURES

Customizable Sniper Factor to adjust sensitivity 🎯
Plots two main indicators:
Whale Sniper Indicator: Identifies potential whale activity.
Trend Indicator: Tracks overall market trends.
Highlights important zones on the chart:
Long Position Setup Zone: Shaded in lime green.
Whale Sniper Zone: Shaded in yellow.
Generates buy ('B') and sell ('S') labels for easy identification of trade signals 🏷️
Provides alerts when specific conditions are met for timely decision-making 🔔
HOW TO USE

Add the indicator to your TradingView chart by selecting it from the indicators list.
Adjust the Sniper Factor input according to your preference and market conditions ⚙️.
Monitor the chart for highlighted zones and generated buy/sell labels indicating potential trade opportunities.
Set up alerts based on the generated signals to receive notifications when conditions are met 📲.
LIMITATIONS

The indicator's effectiveness may vary depending on the chosen Sniper Factor.
False signals can occur in highly volatile or choppy markets 🌪️.
Users should combine this indicator with other forms of analysis for better results.
NOTES

The script imports external libraries (e.g., pandas_ta) for additional functionalities.
Ensure that you have sufficient historical data available for accurate calculations.
Test the indicator thoroughly on demo accounts before applying it to live trading 🔍.

█ OVERVIEW

L3 Whale Sniper V2 is a dual-oscillator indicator that hunts deep-oversold reversal entries and manages the full trade lifecycle with exit signals, ATR-based take-profit and stop-loss reference levels, and bar-close confirmed alerts. It upgrades the classic Whale Sniper dip-buying logic into a complete, rules-based signal system.

█ CONCEPTS

• Whale Sniper oscillator — a smoothed stochastic-family oscillator that pinpoints zones where large players are likely accumulating (the "whale zone" below the trigger level).
• Trend oscillator — a longer-range momentum oscillator used as a regime filter: longs are only considered while it is depressed, shorts while it rolls over above the midline.
• Long setup zone — a separate accumulation detector that paints a lime background when the deep-value zone is active.

V2 adds a full trade lifecycle on top of the original entries: a position state machine with same-bar arbitration, trend-exhaustion exits (XL / XS), ATR-based TP/SL references and a configurable cooldown against signal churn.

█ HOW TO USE

1 — Add the indicator to your chart; it runs in a separate pane below price.
2 — A green B label marks a long entry (whale sniper crossing up through its trigger while the trend is oversold); a red S label marks a short entry (trend oscillator rolling over from above its short filter).
3 — Orange XL / XS crosses mark exits; the dashboard (top right) shows position state, oscillator readings, cooldown and TP/SL reference prices.
4 — Create alerts from the alert dialog (Buy / Sell / Long Exit / Short Exit) or use "Any alert() function call" for dynamic messages with ticker and price.

Input groups (defaults)
• Signal: Sniper Factor (5), Trigger Level (8)
• Trend Filter: Trend Length (27), Long (25) / Short (50) filters
• Setup Zone: lengths (27/34/4), threshold (10)
• Exit: Long Exit (80), Short Exit (25) levels
• Risk (TP/SL): ATR (14), SL 2.0 / TP 3.0 xATR
• Governance: same-bar exclusivity, Cooldown (3, 0 = off)
• Visual: label / background / dashboard toggles

█ SIGNALS

• Green B / red S labels — long / short entries; orange XL / XS crosses — exits for long / short positions.
• Yellow background — active whale sniper zone; lime background — active long setup zone; green / red tint — position state held by the state machine.
• Yellow and fuchsia lines — trend oscillator and its previous-bar value; aqua line — whale sniper oscillator.
• On every entry the script records the fill price and derives stop-loss / take-profit references at entry ± ATR multiples, shown in the dashboard and data window until the position exits.

█ ALERTS

• Four alertcondition channels: Whale Sniper Buy, Sell, Long Exit, Short Exit; dynamic alert() messages include ticker and closing price.
• All alerts fire once per bar close — no intra-bar repainting alerts.

█ IMPLEMENTATION NOTES

• Open source under MPL 2.0, based on the original blackcat1402 L3 Whale Sniper; uses the blackcat1402/pandas_ta library (xll, xhh, xsa) plus ta.ema and ta.atr.
• Entries and exits are edge-triggered and governed by a position state machine, a same-bar exit-priority rule and a cooldown counter.
• No request.security calls — no higher-timeframe lookahead repaint. TP/SL levels are informational references, not orders.

█ LIMITATIONS

• Best suited to liquid markets and mid-to-higher timeframes (15m and above); very low timeframes produce noisy crossings.
• Long and short entries are intentionally asymmetric — this preserves the original design (accumulation dip-buy vs. momentum rollover).
• Ranging markets can whipsaw the trend oscillator; increase the cooldown or filter levels to reduce churn.
• Signals and reference levels only — the script places no orders and makes no performance claims.

█ NOTES

• All thresholds and lengths are inputs; defaults reproduce the original V1 entry behavior.
• Credit: original concept and library by blackcat1402; V2 adds exits, governance, risk references, alerts and dashboard.
