Confluence Profile

█ OVERVIEW
Confluence Profile is a tool for finding places where several independent technical factors point to a similar price level. It does not give buy or sell signals. Instead, it shows where Fibonacci levels, Order Blocks, Fair Value Gaps and volume nodes cluster on the chart, and how many of them overlap at each price.
The indicator is built on a simple premise. Traders use different methods, trade different timeframes and follow different styles, so they place their buy and sell orders and their stop losses in different places. Some watch Fibonacci levels, others Order Blocks or FVGs, still others volume. When several of these zones fall in the same place, it is likely that more orders sit there, so the price reaction may be more pronounced. This is not a rule, however. The indicator makes such places easier to find without plotting each method on the chart by hand. Deciding whether a given zone matters is up to the trader.
To the right of the last candle, the indicator draws a vertical price profile. It consists of the Confluence column (Σ) and nine component columns: F1, F2, F3 (Fibonacci levels of three swings), OB, FVG, V1, V2, V3 (volume profiles of those swings) and Vext (extended-history volume). Each row of the profile is one price interval. The length and color of the bar in the Confluence column show how many factors overlap at that price.
The picture is completed by a label at the current price showing the confluence score and the components that contribute to it, markers for points 0 and 1 of each swing on the chart, and, optionally, OB and FVG zones drawn directly on the candles.
█ CONCEPTS
The indicator combines four popular methods of identifying levels: Fibonacci, Order Blocks, Fair Value Gaps and volume profile. Each has its own followers, who make decisions in different places. The indicator does not assume that any method is better than the others. It only shows where their readings coincide.
Tolerance and the ATR unit
All distances and sizes are expressed as multiples of ATR (100 candles by default). This keeps the indicator consistent across markets and timeframes. The tolerance (0.15 ATR by default) defines how close two components must be to count as the same price area. A larger tolerance finds confluence more easily but less precisely.
Three swings (trailing)
The indicator tracks three swings at once: short, medium and long (pivot length 10, 30 and 80 candles on each side by default). The swings follow price automatically:
• when price makes a new high or low beyond the swing, the extreme moves to that price immediately,
• when a new pivot is confirmed, it replaces the old extreme.
Fibonacci levels therefore always describe the current move and never need to be redrawn by hand. Level 0 is the more recent extreme, level 1 the older one. If two swings land in the same place, the second one is skipped so that the same move is not counted twice (the column header then shows e.g. "=F1").
Fibonacci levels
Each level can be enabled individually and its value adjusted. The available levels are:
• retracements inside the swing (0–1), by default 0.382, 0.5, 0.618 and 0.786,
• levels beyond the older extreme (> 1), by default 1.272,
• levels beyond the more recent extreme (< 0), i.e. continuation targets.
The swing extremes themselves (0 and 1) can also count as levels.
Order Blocks
An Order Block forms at a high or low confirmed by the set number of candles on each side (12 by default), independently of the Fibonacci swings. The source candle is the last opposite-colored candle before the pivot. The zone can cover the full candle including wicks or the body only. If it turns out too large, only the wick of the swing candle is used. An Order Block is removed once price closes beyond it.
Fair Value Gaps
An FVG is the classic three-candle gap. Gaps smaller than the set minimum height are ignored. Three fill modes are available:
• Shrink: the filled part of the gap is cut off,
• Remove at 50%: a candle close beyond the midpoint removes the gap,
• None: the gap stays intact until price breaks through it.
Only Order Blocks and gaps formed within the range of the longest swing (or the Vext window) are included in the profile, so zones from many months ago do not clutter the picture.
Volume profile
Each swing has its own volume profile (V1, V2, V3), calculated from the start of the swing to the current candle, between the swing low and swing high. In the default Nodes mode the indicator shows only volume nodes, i.e. areas with clearly higher volume than their surroundings. In Total volume mode all volume is counted, but prices traded recently then always appear "hot".
The Vext column shows extended-history volume. It covers the period from the current candle back to the point where price last touched the outermost Fibonacci level lying outside the swing. It is active only when levels > 1 or < 0 are enabled. If its range almost fully overlaps V1, V2 or V3, it is skipped so that the same volume is not counted twice.
Confluence
The Confluence column is the weighted sum of all columns in a given row:
• a hit on a Fibonacci level, Order Block or FVG adds the component's full weight,
• a volume profile adds from 0 up to its weight, depending on the strength of the node.
Each component has an adjustable weight. A weight of 0 excludes it from the sum while the column is still drawn. A weight of 2 counts it double. A weight other than 1 is shown in the column header, e.g. "×0.5". Bars below price are green (support), bars above price are red (resistance). The longer and stronger the bar, the more factors overlap at that price.
Price label
At the current price, the indicator shows the confluence score calculated exactly at the closing price, together with the components that contribute to it, e.g. "Confluence 3.4: F2 OB↑ V1". The arrow next to OB and FVG indicates the zone's direction (↑ bullish, ↓ bearish). Volume is listed when the node has at least half of its maximum strength.

█ APPLICATIONS
Identifying support and resistance zones
The longest confluence bars show the prices where the most factors overlap. These are worth watching as potential price reaction zones: support below price and resistance above it.
Context for a Fibonacci level
On its own, a 0.618 level is just the result of a calculation. When an Order Block, an unfilled FVG or a volume node lies in the same place, more market participants are probably watching that level. The component columns let you see at a glance what exactly makes up the confluence.
Finding targets
Levels outside the swing (> 1 and < 0), together with the Vext column, show where volume clusters lie in the more distant history. This helps assess which targets are backed by market structure.
Example of use
Confluence Profile is best treated as a map of levels rather than an entry-signal generator. Before making a decision it is worth taking into account:
• the strength of the confluence and its components,
• whether the zone lies below price (support) or above it (resistance),
• the direction of the Order Blocks and FVGs in the zone,
• whether the confluence comes from one swing or several,
• the presence of volume nodes,
• how price reacts on reaching the zone,
• the broader context and higher timeframes.
█ NOTES
• High confluence does not mean that price will react at that level, or that the reaction will be the strongest. A single level without confirmation from other columns may produce a stronger reaction than a zone where several factors overlap. The profile shows where more methods overlap, not where price will necessarily bounce.
• The profile reflects the current state and is recalculated on the last candle. The indicator does not draw a history of the profile.
• The swings are trailing, so Fibonacci levels move with price when a new extreme forms or a new pivot is confirmed.
• Swing and Order Block pivots are confirmed with a delay equal to the pivot length.
• Volume profiles reach back at most 2,000 candles. If a swing is longer, a ✂ sign appears in the column header.
• Profiles V1–V3 partly overlap (a shorter swing sits inside a longer one), so the same volume node can be counted several times. Lower volume weights, e.g. 0.5, reduce this effect.
• On instruments without volume data, columns V1, V2, V3 and Vext are empty and the indicator displays a message about it.
