Execution Signals .... Confluence Strategy
A price action strategy built for intraday futures trading on NQ, MNQ, ES, and MES.
SIGNALS
Detects three candle patterns on bar close:
- Failure to Go High — price exceeds previous high, closes back below it with an upper wick
- Failure to Go Low — price exceeds previous low, closes back above it with a lower wick
- Inside Bar — full range contained within the previous bar
ENTRY
Signal bar closes and locks in levels. The immediate next bar must close beyond the signal high (long) or signal low (short). Entry fills at that bar's close. If the execution bar closes outside both sides simultaneously, no trade is taken.
STOP & TARGET
Stop is placed at the wick high or low of the signal bar. Take profit is 1R — equal distance from entry as the stop.
POSITION SIZING (CONFLUENCE)
Base size is 1 contract. Additional contracts are added when the signal bar is within ATR proximity of key levels:
+2 contracts — near an Hourly Flip Engine level
+3 contracts — near VWAP
+4 contracts — near Previous Day High or Low (RTH session)
Conditions are additive. Maximum is 9 contracts when all three align.
SESSION
Entries allowed from 6:00 PM ET. All positions force-closed at 4:09 PM ET. No trades during the 4:00–6:00 PM ET dead zone.
TOOLS INCLUDED
- Hourly Flip Engine — horizontal levels from 1H color flips, invalidated on body cross
- VWAP — anchored session VWAP
- PDH/PDL — previous RTH session high and low
