- **Type of Indicator**: Classified as a trend indicator, it operates on multiple time frames, offering a comprehensive view of market momentum.
#### Calculation Method
- **Core Calculation**: Combines price action (hlc3 formula) and volume, calculating a series of Simple Moving Averages (SMAs) on this modified factor.
- **Timeframes**: Incorporates short, mid, and long-term analysis through specific length parameters like `len_shortterm1`, `len_midterm`, and `len_longterm`.
- **Output Interpretation**: Proportions calculated from SMAs indicate the relative strength of trends across different timeframes.
#### Basic Operations
- **Comparison with Similar Indicators**: Similar to SMAs and MACD but provides a more detailed multi-timeframe trend analysis.
- **Unique Features**: The multi-timeframe approach and price-volume factor analysis distinguish it from other trend indicators.
- **Practical Example**: A dominant long-term trend (blue candle) might suggest a more stable bullish trend compared to a short-term spike.
#### Style Settings
- **Visual Representation**: Utilizes `plotcandle` functions with specific colors for different trend conditions, enhancing the visual clarity.
- **Color Coding**: Yellow for short-term trends, fuchsia for skyrocket trends, red for mid-term, and blue for long-term trends.

OVERVIEWThe [blackcat] L1 Bullish Trend Indicator is designed to help traders identify bullish trends by analyzing volume-based indicators over multiple timeframes. This script calculates smoothed average participations and plots them as colored bands on the chart, providing clear visual cues for potential buy and sell opportunities. By combining short-term, mid-term, and long-term data, it offers a comprehensive view of market momentum 📈💹.
FEATURES
Calculates volume-based indicators using custom functions:
Volume Indicator: Based on price and volume data.
Smoothed Average Participation: Using Simple Moving Averages (SMAs).
Plots colored bands representing different timeframes:
Yellow: Short-term participation (Bullish Start).
Fuchsia: Short-term participation (Skyrocket).
Red: Mid-term participation (Mid-Term).
Blue: Long-term participation (Long-Term).
Displays buy ('Buy') and sell ('Sell') labels on the chart for quick identification 🏷️
Generates alerts based on crossover events between the short-term and long-term bands 🔔
HOW TO USE
Add the indicator to your TradingView chart by selecting it from the indicators list.
Adjust the following parameters to suit your preferences:
Short Term Length 1
Short Term Length 2
Mid Term Length
Long Term Length
Monitor the chart for buy and sell labels indicating potential trade opportunities.
Set up alerts based on the generated signals to receive notifications when conditions are met 📲.
Use the colored bands as additional context for trend analysis.

Informacje o Wersji
█ OVERVIEWThis indicator tracks how actively the market participates in price movement by weighing typical price with volume, then smooths that participation across four lookback lengths. A Buy label prints when the fastest participation average crosses above the long-term baseline; a Sell label prints on the opposite cross.
█ CONCEPTS
The script builds a volume-weighted participation proxy from typical price (hlc3) x volume, then smooths it with Simple Moving Averages of four lengths (4, 8, 16, 16 by default):
• Bullish Start (yellow band) — shortest smoothing, reacts first to fresh participation
• Skyrocket (fuchsia band) — second smoothing, captures short impulses of activity
• Mid Term (red band) — medium-term participation flow
• Long Term (blue band) — the baseline that defines the trend
The core signal is the crossover between Bullish Start and Long Term: fast participation overtaking the baseline suggests buyers stepping in; falling back below it suggests the bullish impulse is fading.
█ HOW TO USE
1 — Add the script to your chart; it runs in a separate pane below price.
2 — Read the bands: yellow rising above blue means short-term participation is leading.
3 — Act on labels: green "Buy" = bullish trend start, red "Sell" = bullish trend end.
4 — Check the dashboard (top right) for trend state, entry, ATR-based Stop Loss / Take Profit references and current ATR.
5 — Create alerts from "Buy Alert" / "Sell Alert", or run any alert on the script for dynamic alert() messages.
Input Parameters — Trend Lengths
• Short Term Length 1 (default 4): Bullish Start smoothing
• Short Term Length 2 (default 8): Skyrocket smoothing
• Mid Term Length (default 16): Mid Term smoothing
• Long Term Length (default 16): baseline smoothing
Input Parameters — Signal Governance
• Enable State Machine + Cooldown (default on): Buy fires only from flat, Sell only from bullish state; off restores raw crossover behavior
• Cooldown Bars (default 3, 0 = off): minimum number of bars between two governed signals
Input Parameters — Risk (TP/SL)
• Show TP/SL Reference (default on): displays entry-based references while in a bullish trend
• ATR Length (default 14): volatility lookback for the references
• Stop Loss xATR (default 2.0) and Take Profit xATR (default 3.0): distance multipliers from the entry price
Input Parameters — Visual
• Show Participation Bands / Show Trend Background / Show Dashboard (all on by default)
█ FEATURES
• Signal governance: state machine, cooldown and same-bar exclusivity suppress whipsaw duplicates
• ATR-based Stop Loss / Take Profit references shown in the dashboard and data window
• Bullish trend background tint for at-a-glance state reading
• Compact dashboard: trend state, entry price, SL/TP levels and ATR
• alertcondition() channels plus dynamic alert() messages confirmed on bar close
█ SIGNALS
Visual Elements
• Yellow / fuchsia / red / blue bands: participation averages from fastest to slowest
• Green "Buy" label: Bullish Start crossed above Long Term — bullish trend start
• Red "Sell" label: Bullish Start crossed below Long Term — bullish trend end
• Green background: the indicator is currently in the bullish-trend state
█ IMPLEMENTATION NOTES
Open source under the Mozilla Public License 2.0 by blackcat1402. The script smooths an hlc3 x volume proxy with ta.sma, detects edges with ta.crossover / ta.crossunder, and scales risk references with ta.atr. Dynamic alerts use alert.freq_once_per_bar_close, so messages never repaint intra-bar.
█ LIMITATIONS
• Designed for bullish trend identification; there are no short-side signals
• Best suited to trending markets; ranging conditions can whipsaw the crossover
• TP/SL values are visual references, not orders — this is an indicator, not a strategy
• The participation scale is volume-based and is not comparable across symbols with very different volume profiles
• Always confirm signals with your own analysis
█ NOTES
• V2 adds signal governance, ATR TP/SL references, trend background, dashboard and dynamic alerts to the original V1 concept by blackcat1402
