FirmApp Daily Basis v1.2: Advanced Market Context & Liquidity Dashboard
Introduction
The FirmApp Daily Basis is a high-precision utility script designed for professional traders who require accurate, real-time market data without chart clutter. This version (v1.2) introduces several key enhancements based on community feedback, focusing on visual clarity and data integrity.
The "True 24h Volume" Solution
The primary technical challenge this script solves is the inaccuracy of standard daily volume metrics on perpetual futures. Most exchange-provided volume resets at 00:00 UTC, which hides the actual 24-hour liquidity trend during the trading session.
Our Solution: FirmApp Daily Basis implements a custom Rolling 24h Volume calculation. By utilizing high-granularity 5-minute data (requesting 288 sub-bars), the script aggregates a precise moving window of quote volume (Volume * HLC3). This ensures the dashboard displays the actual liquidity of the last 24 hours at any given moment, matching the precision of major exchange APIs.
Key Technical Components:
- BTC Correlation Terminal: Real-time calculation of the correlation coefficient between the current asset and Bitcoin (configurable ticker). This is essential for identifying decoupling events and assessing market-wide trend dependency.
- Optimized 3-Bar Fractals: A micro-visual implementation of price pivot points. These provide structural context (HH/LL) without obstructing price action, allowing for cleaner chart analysis and stop-loss placement.
- Dynamic Data Dashboard: A scalable top-right panel that displays volume (in Millions or Billions) and correlation.
What’s New in v1.2:
- Dashboard Scalability: Added a new user input to toggle dashboard text size (Small, Normal, Large) for better visibility on high-resolution displays.
- Visual Refinement: Redesigned fractal shapes to sit closer to the candle wicks, minimizing vertical chart space usage.
- UI Defaults: Updated default dashboard size to 'Normal' for immediate readability upon installation.
Transparency & Accuracy
This is a non-repainting script. All calculations are performed on closed bars to ensure that the data remains consistent and reliable for post-trade analysis.
