Bitcoin: Where and When Will the Cyclical Bottom Be?

421
In an analysis published on TradingView on May 20, I explained that Bitcoin is still evolving within its cyclical bear market, which is part of the well-known four-year cycle. Based on all the timing criteria observed during previous bear markets, the low reached in February cannot be considered the final cyclical bottom. The latter is expected during the second half of 2026, most likely around August or September.

For more details regarding this timing aspect, I invite you to click on the chart below:

If the final bottom of the cyclical bear market is expected between August and September 2026, another major question arises: within what price range can we expect the final BTC low?
To answer this question in a meaningful way, it is necessary to combine several technical and on-chain analysis approaches. Below, I present three methods that point to a cyclical bottom range between $50,000 and $60,000.

1) Pure Chart Analysis

According to the principles of technical chart analysis, a triple cyclical bullish support zone is located between $57,000 and $60,000. This support area consists of:
• The 200-week moving average, which has historically contained previous bear markets.
• The 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level.
• The long-term trendline connecting all major lows since the November 2022 cyclical bottom at $15,000.

2) The Average Cost Basis of Long-Term Investors (On-Chain Analysis)

In on-chain analysis, the average purchase price of long-term holders often acts as a support zone during cyclical bear markets. This metric is currently located around $50,000.
The orange line below represents the average acquisition price of long-term investors, currently near $50,000.

3) The Lower Bound of the Power Law

Finally, if we assume that Bitcoin follows a long-term power-law trajectory, the lower boundary of this model currently stands around $58,000.
